Mia Fevola on Tuesday revealed the truth behind engagement rumors surrounding her and boyfriend Bass Miller while attending the Melbourne Cup.
The influencer, 24, and her partner made headlines in August when Bass called the model his ‘new lady’ on Instagram, sparking speculation that he had proposed to her.
However, Mia told Daily Mail Australia at Flemington Racecourse that she is not engaged and that the post was referring to the new hairstyle she received at the time.
‘I don’t know where that came from. “It was directed at my hair because I was blonde and then I dyed it dark,” Mia said of Bass’ now-deleted post.
She explained that her boyfriend was only referring to her ‘new look’ and didn’t accidentally reveal that they were engaged as previous reports suggested.
‘He said, “New lady,” saying I dyed my hair. New look. ‘I was surprised to see (the reports),’ he added.
When asked if she and Bass had any future engagement plans after nearly two years together, Mia said she wasn’t sure.
‘Who knows. “Right now we’re just enjoying our time,” he explained.

The couple became the target of relentless online trolls during their romance.
