Mia Farrow has continued to defy her reputation as a “vindictive woman scorned” by revealing that she feels no ill will towards actors who choose to work with her former partner of 11 years, Woody Allen.
“I completely understand if an actor decides to work with him,” the 79-year-old actress said in Sunday morning on CBS.
“I’m not one of those people who says, ‘Oh, they shouldn’t.'”
When asked by host Seth Doane if she was able to separate her experience as an actress in her 13 films with the 88-year-old filmmaker from her personal struggles, Mia (née Maria) replied: “Oh, yeah, yeah.”
Farrow felt understandably betrayed when she discovered Woody’s (born Allan Konigsberg) secret affair with her 21-year-old adopted daughter, Soon-Yi Previn, in January 1992 and, seven months later, publicly accused him of sexually abusing her seven-year-old adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow.

A week later, Allen — who was never charged or prosecuted — sued the Rosemary’s Baby alum for full custody of their son Satchel (now Ronan) and adopted sons Dylan and Moses.
In his 33-page 1993 decision, Judge Elliott Wilk denied the controversial director’s request for custody of the three children, calling his behavior toward Dylan “grossly inappropriate” while dismissing allegations of sexual abuse.
In 1997, Woody married Soon-Yi and they adopted two daughters: Bechet Allen, 25, and Manzie Tio Allen, 24.
And while Dylan, 39, maintains the allegations, his brother Moses, 46, publicly denied She was once abused and alleged that Mia had abused him in a WordPress Post of 2018.
Some of Allen’s outspoken supporters include Diane Keaton, Alec Baldwin, Scarlett Johansson, Cherry Jones, Bill Maher, Jude Law, Javier Bardem, Cate Blanchett, Gina Gershon, Jim Belushi, Juno Temple, Michael Caine, and Jeff Goldblum.
Kate Winslet, Drew Barrymore, Evan Rachel Wood, David Krumholtz, Greta Gerwig, Mira Sorvino, Rachel Brosnahan, Jeff Daniels, Peter Sarsgaard, Natalie Portman, Colin Firth, Hayley Atwell, Freida Pinto, Chloe Sevigny and Marion Cotillard have all said they will not work with the four-time Oscar winner again.
Woody’s final American film, A Rainy Day in New York, coincided with the #MeToo movement in 2019 and cast members Elle Fanning, Selena Gomez, Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Hall and Griffin Newman donated their salaries to support sexual assault organisations.
Last year, Allen fled to France to direct his 50th feature, Coup de Chance, which grossed just $7.4 million at the global box office despite… decent reviews.

“The fact that we are working together now, for me that is a success!” exclaimed the Golden Globe winner.
“I’m old, you know? I’m very good at doing nothing. It’s a gift. I entertain myself non-stop. I have good friends. I have no complaints.”
