In a statement shared with the Instagram page of the late singerHer loved ones revealed that the star had passed away but asked for privacy as they mourn her death.
Dulce, whose real name is Bertha Elisa Noeggerath Cárdenas, is known for hits such as Let me return with you (1982) and Soy tu dama (1985).

She underwent pleuropulmonary decortication surgery after being hospitalized a few weeks before Christmas.
The operation is a “procedure that involves the removal of the pleura, the thin membrane that covers the lungs, and any visible tumor masses on the lung surface,” according to Yale Medicine.
The surgery “aims to preserve lung function while treating conditions such as malignant pleural mesothelioma or chronic pleural infections.”
