Horrific footage revealed the moment an alleged child kidnapper and murderer was dragged from a police car and beaten to death by an angry mob in the Mexican resort town of Taxco.
The unnamed woman was being taken away by police after she was allegedly caught on surveillance video helping a man dispose of the body of Camila Gómez Ortega, who had disappeared on Wednesday.
The villagers pulled the woman out of the police car and began crying at her and tearing her clothes.
“We’re fed up,” a woman who identified herself as Andrea told the Associated Press. “She This time she was an 8 year old girl.”
‘This is the result of the bad government we have. “This is not the first time something like this has happened, but it is the first time people have done something.”

Frustration had been mounting since Camila disappeared Wednesday after her family let her walk to a neighbor’s house to play.
Surveillance video later surfaced of a woman in the same neighborhood carrying a basket of clothes into a taxi and helping a man load a bundle, believed to be the girl, into the trunk of the taxi, according to a news outlet. Mexican communication. Excelsior.
The girl was found dead on the outskirts of the city that same day.
An autopsy revealed that the girl had been raped and suffocated, the outlet reported.
The victim’s relatives were able to locate the home of the alleged murderers.
They pleaded with the authorities to arrest them, but the police did not intervene.
Instead, the mob invaded the house and some men were seen climbing onto the roof of the house to drive out the alleged child killers.
Camila Gómez Ortega, 8 years old, disappeared on Wednesday after going to play at her neighbor’s house.
His family reported him missing immediately. His body was discovered the next day on the outskirts of Taxco, Mexico. She had been raped and asphyxiated, according to Mexican media reports.
Surveillance video showed a woman carrying a basket of clothes into a taxi that was later linked to Camila’s disappearance.
The same woman was seen helping a man load a bundle, believed to be Camila’s body, into the trunk of the taxi.
The police finally intervened, when the trio was forced out of the house, and agreed to arrest them.
Despite placing her in a police van, people from the town can be seen clawing at the woman until they were finally able to get her out of the van.
An officer tried to drag her inside, but eventually handed her body over to the mob.
The police stood by and watched as they beat her and two other men suspected of Camila’s death until the mob finished them off.
The woman was taken to the hospital where she died from her injuries.
The woman’s public murder coincided with Easter celebrations, which attract many tourists to the city.

The woman’s public murder coincided with Easter celebrations, which attract many tourists to the city.
“I never thought that in a tourist place like Taxco we would experience a lynching,” said Felipa Lagunas, a local primary school teacher.
‘I saw it as something far away, in places far from civilization… I never imagined that my community would experience this on such a special day.’
Guerrero, the state where Taxco is located, has been plagued by violence.
Known as Tierra Caliente, the region has been controlled by some 40 cartels and drug gangs fighting for control of marijuana and heroin production in that area.
In this part of Mexico, criminal organizations run the show, preying on locals and killing anyone who doesn’t pay to follow their rules.
‘We know that the people live off of Holy Week (tourism) and that this is going to screw them up. There will be many people who will no longer want to come,” Andrea said.
“We make a living from tourism, but we cannot continue allowing these things to be done to us.”
