The “Hawk Tuah” girl, the nickname given to Welch after the social media uproar, threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Citi Field.

It was Welch’s last public appearance since a video flooded social media showing her making a graphic face. Demonstration of how to give good oral sex.

“So the @Mets decided to have Hawk Tuah Girl throw out the first pitch for a summer camp day game where the vast majority of fans are 11 year olds attending the ballpark on camping trips. Seriously, what were they thinking? Getting better than this,” one wrote on social media.

“We have 120 Olympic medalists and you chose her? Seriously?” added another. “Civilization has hit a new low,” wrote a third.

Welch has shot to internet fame in recent months, amassing 2 million followers on Instagram.

The Tennessee native has also capitalized on it, releasing merchandise featuring the now-iconic slogan and hanging out with the likes of Shaquille O’Neal.

He even jumped on stage with country music star Zach Bryan and challenged pop star JoJo Siwa to a potential fight.

Michelle Waterson, former world number one atomweight fighter and former Invicta FC atomweight champion, offered to train Welch.

But tennis star Nick Kyrgios took the leadig on Welch after she made an appearance at Jake Paul’s boxing victory over Mike Perry.

On X (formerly known as Twitter), Kyrgios tweeted: “There is no longer a correlation between fame and being actually decent at something,” along with a laughing emoji.
