I hope you didn’t enjoy playing Dead and buried, Dead and buried IIeither Bogota on your Rift or Quest headset, because Meta is turning them all off without explanation, just like he already did with Echo VR (also know as echo sand).
“We are contacting you to inform you that Dead and Buried will no longer be supported as of Friday, March 15, 2024,” reads an email in my inbox. “You can continue hunting ghosts and other creatures in Dead and Buried on your Rift, Rift S, or Quest devices (via link) until 11:59 pm PT on that date.”
UploadVR and Path to virtual reality report that the owners of the aftermath of the Wild West shootout Dead and buried II and virtual pet simulator Bogota They also receive the same closing messages about their games, with the same end date of March 15.
None of the messages contain any explanation as to why. I guess the company didn’t decide to change its strategy after Echo Arena, where Meta CTO Andrew Bosworth had to make up his own explanation after the fact.
Bogota It’s not even a multiplayer game that requires online servers to run. Why take it away from people, when you could just mark it as incompatible with newer headphones?
as for Dead and buried II, it was a $20 game. Will buyers receive any type of consideration or refund? (The original Dead and buried free wine with many Oculus Touch controllers and some headphones; Bogota and echo sand They were both free, as far as I know.)
