It has been a testing summer for Ozil off the pitch, with security concerns marring his preparation for the new season, after he and team-mate Sead Kolasinac were caught up in a botched mugging.
He was also unavailable for the clash with Burnley due to illness.
The transfer window across Europe shuts next Monday, and the 30-year-old had been linked with moves to a few teams across Europe.
One such team was Fenerbahce, who felt compelled to release a statement to confirm that any move for Ozil was financially unviable.
Ozil will be concentrating on getting back into Unai Emery’s side after missing each of their opening three matches.
Next up for the Gunners is a home clash with north London rivals Tottenham on Sunday.
