Meryl Streep’s daughter Louisa Jacobson Gummer has come out as a lesbian.
The 33-year-old actress, daughter of Streep, 75, and her ex-husband Don Gummer, posted snaps with her producing partner Anna Blundell while writing, “blessed to enter the Joyful New Era bb,” followed by heart emojis and rainbow flag.
The photos were posted over Streep’s 75th birthday weekend on June 22, with one follower revealing: “Coming out on your mom’s birthday is so iconic!”
Louisa graduated from the Yale School of Drama with a master’s degree in acting. She is known for starring in the HBO period drama series The Gilded Age as Marian Brook.
Oscar winner Ariana De Bose posted ‘queen live’ as other fans took to the comments to congratulate Louisa.
In 2022, Louisa was dating actor Jonathan Higginbotham, whom she met at the Yale School of Drama.

She told Vanity Fair about dating another actor: ‘It’s cool in a way. We share this strange career together and we can complain about the same things. He knows deeply what I do.
‘It is always difficult to navigate the different stages of the race. Imbalances that may exist at one time will change and change at another time. You just have to let yourself go and support each other.”
Streep and her husband of 45 years, Gummer, announced their separation in October when they revealed they had been separated “for over six years” after deciding to have “separate lives.”
In a statement shared with Page sixA spokesperson said that the Devil Wears Prada actress, 74, and the sculptor, 76, ‘have been separated for more than 6 years, and although they will always care for each other, they have chosen separate lives.’
The couple initially married in 1978 and share four children: Henry, 43, Mamie, 40, Grace, 37, and Louisa.
According to the outlet, Streep, who attended the Princess of Asturias Awards on Friday, was last seen with Gummer while attending the 2018 Oscars ceremony.
The former couple were first introduced through Meryl’s brother in 1978, and said ‘I do’ that same year in September during a romantic ceremony in the garden of their parents’ home.
The nuptials took place six months after her late boyfriend and fellow actor, John Cazale, died in March 1978 following a diagnosis of lung cancer.
A year after her death, Mamma Mia! Star reflected on her loss and told him People at that time, ‘Death is still with me. It’s forced me to face my own mortality and once you do, you see things differently.’
After his death, the actress had to move out of the apartment she had shared with Cazale and received help from her brother and one of her friends, who turned out to be Gummer.
Meryl and Don became close and he let Meryl sublease his New York City apartment when he wasn’t in the Big Apple. The couple began exchanging letters and soon the friendship became something more serious.

In 2002, the star spoke about her relationship with the artist and reported Fashion that the secret to their long-lasting marriage was “good will and a willingness to give in…and keep quiet from time to time.”
He further explained: “There is no road map on how to start a family – it’s always a huge negotiation.”
‘But I have a holistic need to work and to have enormous bonds of love in my life. I can’t imagine avoiding one for the other.
