Men who complain that dating apps favor women are now using AI to “even the odds”, creating irresistible pick-up lines.
DailyMail.com spoke to Paul, 30, and Eddi, 20, from Florida, who are using chatbots as ‘wingmates’ to generate full conversations which they say has enabled them to land up to five dates a week.
Singles use apps like Rizz and MGAI that were designed specifically as dating tools that follow text prompts: you can tell the AI to write a message “with the charm of Leonardo DiCaprio.”
Paul told DailyMail.com: “On the first day I used AI, I matched with a bad guy, got a response, got a date and we were connected, all in less than 24 hours.”
Paul, 30, used AI applications to generate openers. He told DailyMail.com that “the odds are against you as a man” and that attractive women will have 100 matches a day, making it a “numbers game” for men.
Paul told DailyMail.com: “On the first day I used AI, I matched with a bad guy, got a response, got a date and we were connected, all in less than 24 hours.”
“I have a hundred better things to do than use my brain to create a clever text message that’s probably going to a 16-year-old Indian boy posing as an attractive girl to scam me for $20,” said Paul, who is from Miami.
‘Or to get a 20 percent chance of receiving an answer that most of the time goes nowhere.
“Dating apps are a means to an end for me, so anything I can do to get better results while minimizing exposure to their toxic dopamine-sequestering flows, I’ll do.”
Paul said he used apps like MGAI and Wing to generate opening messages and send follow-up messages.
He also explained that the MGAI (Message Game AI) app can be tuned to generate openers that do the job.
“Like many AI tools, it takes some quick engineering to produce a good line,” Paul said.
‘For example, I have a text snippet that I use for texting using: ‘Write with the charm of Leo Dicaprio and the informality of Jake Paul.’ Text like a teenager on Snapchat. Avoid punctuation. no emojis. Do not be corny.
He said such cues produce “an opener” in “two or three seconds.”
Paul said he can now schedule four to five dates a week by spending 10 minutes texting twice a day.

Paul said he used apps like MGAI and Wing to generate opening messages and send follow-up messages.
‘I don’t always do as much, but it’s much more efficient. And now I have a surplus, so I can schedule more dates than I need and unload when I’m busy or less depressed,” he continued.
While most women Paul knows aren’t upset that he seeks help from the software, he recalled one case where his date was furious after finding out, but she used a fake photo on her profile.
“Last Thursday I had a date at a wine bar and I got catfished, so I’m off to a bad start,” he told DailyMail.com.
‘She started randomly complaining about the AI. Anyway, I told him that texting girls on apps is a waste of time, so I used AI to do it for me.
“She went crazy for a minute, got salty and said it was immoral and that I was fishing for her.
“I told him that’s completely ridiculous, because guys ask their friends to help them with texting all the time anyway.
Eddie said Rizz has completely changed his approach to dating.
Eddie also explained that Rizz helps him generate ‘icebreakers’.
“I also pointed out that he uses AI every day to improve his appearance when using filters on IG.”
Paul then snuck into the bathroom and asked AI what was the most polite way to tell someone they should leave an appointment.
Eddie, 20, has been using a different app, Rizz, to write chat lines for online dating.
‘The world of online dating can be very tough. Endless scrolling, boring intros, and ghosting – I was this close to just deleting the apps,” he said.
Rizz analyzes the context of conversations and offers pre-written suggestions for how the user would typically respond.
The platform’s website indicates that users upload screenshots of conversations with their partner and the potential partner’s bio, and the AI ”gives you fun, smart, and witty answers that your partner won’t be able to resist.”
‘Rizz tailored his suggestions to complement my specific voice and vibe rather than just regurgitating generic phrases or pick-up lines.
“It brought a human element back to dating apps that we normally only experience in person.”
Eddie said Rizz allowed him to “work his way” into conversations and find dates, and has “changed his approach” to dating.
