Melissa Leong leads a new three-part documentary series about Australia’s healthcare system.
The TV star, 42, will appear in new SBS docuseries The Hospital: In The Deep End, airing on Thursday June 6.
Melissa will appear alongside Samuel Johnson and Costa Georgiadis.
In the show, the trio will spend time with medical professionals from Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital to better understand health challenges in Australia.
The former MasterChef Australia judge said TV WEEK that filming the series was a challenge.

“To be honest, I would go back to where I was staying and just sit in the bathroom and stare at the wall,” she said.
“You’re looking for any kind of comfort to get back into your body because it’s a very emotional experience.”
Leong revealed that she wanted to participate in the show so she could learn about her mother’s career as a nurse.

“Spending time in the emergency department certainly gave me a glimpse of what she did,” he explained.
‘I think she (her mother) is a tremendously empathetic person. “I take a lot of inspiration from her about how I want to be in my life,” he added.
In an interview with The Daily Telegraph In October, the journalist and food critic described the program as “full of heart” and “amazing people” committed to saving lives.
In the show, the trio will spend time with medical professionals from St Vincent’s Hospital in Sydney to better understand health challenges in Australia.
The food critic was booted from MasterChef Australia last year amid rumors of a feud between her and fellow judges Andy Allen and the late Jock Zonfrillo, which she has denied.
He then hosted the MasterChef spin-off series Dessert Masters alongside Amaury Guichon.
Her excitement was palpable when she recently spoke to Daily Mail Australia about her new job as a presenter on Dessert Masters, describing it as a “dream come true”.
Additionally, she announced that she would host UFC Fight Week on Kayo Sports and Foxtel.
