Melissa Joan Hart shared a sweet tribute to her Sabrina The Teenage Witch co-star Martin Mull following the news of his death.
The 48-year-old actress played the title character in the sitcom, which aired from 1996 to 2003, with Mull playing director Willard Kraft for the first three seasons.
Taking her to her instagram On Friday, she posted a photo of the couple on the set of the series, accompanied by an emotional message in honor of the Roseanne alum, who died at home on Thursday after a “long illness.”
“Rest in peace, friend. The incredible #MartinMull (director Kraft) has left us to his eternal rest,” Hart began. “I have very fond memories of working with him and being amazed by his enormous body of work, which before #SabrinaTheTeemageWitch included #Roseanne and #MrMom as the projects I knew him for.”
‘And after our Sabrina days, her work multiplied with guest-starring and recurring roles on major shows, as well as in feature films and animation. She once told me that she takes every job offered to her just in case the boat runs out, which in this business tends to stop quickly.

‘But he was an artist who loved to paint and build things with his hands, a musician and a wonderful man whom I know best. He will be missed, but this world has benefited from his presence here.
‘My deepest condolences to his family and friends. I will continue to cherish Martin Mull’s artwork that hangs in my home!’ he concluded.
Mull, who played Colonel Mustard on Clue, Roseanne’s boss Leon Carp on the sitcom Roseanne and starred opposite Fred Willard in Norman Lear’s Fernwood 2 Nite, died at his home after battling a “long illness,” according to his daughter Maggie Mull.
“My heart aches to share that my father passed away at home on June 27th, after a courageous battle with a long illness,” Maggie wrote in Instagram.
‘He was known for excelling in every creative discipline imaginable and also for doing Red Roof Inn commercials. That joke would be funny. “He never stopped being funny,” he continued alongside a black and white photo of his father.
“My father will be deeply missed by his wife and daughter, by his friends and co-workers, by his fellow artists, comedians and musicians and, as is the sign of a truly exceptional person, by many, many dogs. I loved him dearly.” , he concluded.

In 2016, Mull received an Emmy nomination for his guest role as political aide Bob Bradley on Veep.
More recently, he has appeared as a guest on The Afterparty, Not Dead Yet and Grace and Frankie.
Martin Eugene Mull was born in Chicago to an actress-director mother and a carpenter father, according to Variety.
At the age of 2, his family moved to North Ridgeville, Ohio, and when he was 15, they moved again to New Canaan, Connecticut.
Mull pursued his passion for painting and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts from the Rhode Island School of Design.
He initially entered show business as a songwriter, penning Jane Morgan’s 1970 country single, A Girl Named Johnny Cash, which peaked at number 61 on the Billboard country charts.
He soon launched his own recording career, composing the theme for the 1970 series The 51st State and serving as music producer for the 1971 film Jump.
Mull transitioned into acting with her breakout role in the Norman Lear soap opera spoof Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman in 1977 and its spin-off Fernwood 2 Night.
He was a series regular as Ed Munn on The Ellen Show, the 2001-02 Ellen DeGeneres sitcom that aired for 18 episodes on CBS.

From 1998 to 2004, Mull was a regular on the game show Hollywood Squares, appearing in 425 episodes, frequently occupying the coveted center square.
In the short-lived 2013 Fox comedy Dads, Mull played the father of star Seth Green’s character.
In film, Mull starred opposite Tim Curry in 1985’s Clue and had notable roles in the 1980 Paramount film Serial, as well as appearances in Mr. Mom and Mrs. Doubtfire.
His last role was in Apple’s The Afterparty.
