A home hack guru has revealed her top five tips for saying goodbye to dust in your home and saving time while cleaning.
Chantel Mila, who goes by Mama Mila online, said the five hacks won’t break the bank and will keep the house dust-free for longer.
She recommended not wearing shoes in the house, dusting with a damp cloth, and even vacuuming the curtains.
The Melbourne mother-of-two also suggested emptying the tumble dryer and other hidden filters regularly and lining the tall cabinets with newspaper.
‘If you always feel like you’re dusting your house, these five inexpensive tips will help you cut down on dust and save time cleaning up!’ she said.

Chantel said to remove your shoes at the front door to prevent dust and dirt from entering the house and to regularly vacuum the curtains and window frames.
To prevent dust from entering the house, Chantel said to make sure people leave their shoes at the door.
Her second piece of advice is to vacuum your curtains and window frames “to keep dust out of the house.”
Third, Chantel said to wipe dust with a damp cloth to ensure it’s captured and removed instead of “rolling” around a surface.
“Empty your dryer’s filter to remove lint and check for any hidden filters,” she added.
Finally, Mom puts sheets of newspaper on top of the tall cabinets to trap dust and make cleaning easier.

She shared the tips on an Instagram. video where viewers were taken to the comments to say they loved the ‘helpful’ cleaning tips.

“I use cling film on top of my kitchen cabinets,” someone suggested.
Clean your dryer’s filter halfway through the drying cycle to speed up drying time, or better yet, hang as many clothes as possible. I hang everything except the sheets,’ a second explained.

Chantel’s first tip was to rub Vaseline on the wrist before spraying on the perfume to make the scent last longer.
The Melbourne mother-of-two uses clever tricks to make her perfume last longer, easily remove spectacle stains from chamois, and repair broken makeup compacts.
She rubbed a circle of Vaseline on her wrist, then sprayed three sprays on top.
Another practical trick is to remove stains from suede shoes, which are very difficult to clean, with micellar water.
Mom put some micellar water on a cotton pad and then gently dabbed at the stains on her high heels.
Her final and favorite trick is to fix a broken makeup compact with isopropyl alcohol.
Mama Mila’s Best Life Hacks:
1. Rub a small amount of Vaseline on your wrist’s skin before spraying perfume to make the scent last longer.
2. Remove stains from suede shoes by putting a little micellar water on a cotton ball and rubbing gently.
3. Repair a broken makeup compact using isopropyl alcohol.
Poured a teaspoon of alcohol on top of the makeup palette and used a knife to blend it, when it dries, the powder looks like new.
The mom said the hack is one of her best and “has saved a lot of my makeup palettes.”
