LSU football star Trey Holly has been charged with attempted second-degree murder in connection with a shooting that left two people injured in Louisiana last week.

Holly, who plays running back for the Tigers, was arrested and faces two other felony charges: aggravated criminal damage to property and unlawful use of a weapon.

The 19-year-old freshman turned himself in to police on Thursday, according to Lawyerfor the incident that occurred in the city of Farmerville, Louisiana, around 10:30 p.m. last Friday.

A woman is said to have been left in critical condition after being shot three times, while a man was also shot in the lower leg, The Advocate reports.

Investigators determined that three shooters fired multiple bullets after an earlier altercation at the location.

Holly, who plays running back for LSU, was arrested on three felony charges.

Holly, who was arrested for the shooting along with two other people, was booked into the Union Parish Detention Center after turning herself in Thursday.

Sheriff Dusty Gates of the Union Parish Sheriff’s Office in Farmerville says the investigation is ongoing.

There is believed to be a possibility that another shooter was involved, and Gates added that, although they have not yet been identified, more arrests are anticipated.

Following Holly’s arrest, LSU said in a statement that he had been suspended from the team “indefinitely.”

“We are aware that a student-athlete has been arrested in connection with a shooting in Union Parish,” LSU said. ‘This student-athlete has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities, in accordance with departmental policies.

“Out of respect for the judicial process, we will not comment further.”

According ESPN’s Pete Thamel Holly is being held on $512,000 bail.
