Melbourne train passengers have been warned to expect long delays after a person was struck by a train at Footscray station.

In a statement, Metro Trains said: “Sunbury Line: buses to replace Footscray – Sunshine trains due to person struck by train.”

• ETA buses 60min

• Passengers are advised to take a Werribee train and change at Footscray

• Allow additional travel time.

• Trains operate Flinders St – Footscray
