Melbourne dies of coronavirus as Victoria once again announces a massive spike in infections with 216 cases recorded overnight – as the deadly second wave rages through the state
Victoria suffered another coronavirus death and 216 new cases overnight.
Prime Minister Daniel Andrews confirmed that the man who died was in his 90s speaking to reporters on Saturday.
Of the total number of new cases, Mr Andrews said that 30 can be traced to contained outbreaks, while the other 186 cases are still under investigation.
