“When I lost contact with Kate, it was more heartbreaking than some of the breakups I’ve been through,” Lynskey revealed.

It was so traumatic and it’s not like anything that’s happened, she’s become a giant international movie star and she doesn’t have much time, and all of a sudden, she’s going to be in L.A. and she doesn’t have time,” she added.

It happened gradually,” she said, adding, “It happens in relationships. People kind of drift apart, but that was very painful for me.”

Lynskey said this happened in another movie she did, where she believed she formed a close relationship with an unspecified actor… only to learn otherwise.

I did this movie with this actor and when we finished I said, “Oh my God, I’m so glad I met you and we have this friendship,” and she said, “Yeah, I’m not friends with actors. I don’t stay friends with actors,” Lynskey said.
