Melania Trump, 54, has revealed in her new memoir how she navigates her relationship with her four stepchildren and why she doesn’t try to replace their mothers.
The former First Lady today released her new memoir, Melania, which gave insight into her personal life and family relationships.
When Melania married her husband and former President Donald in January 2005, he already had four children from his previous marriages: daughter Ivanka, 42, and sons Donald Jr., 46, and Eric, 40, that he had with his ex Ivana, in addition to his daughter. Tiffany, 30, who she shares with Marla Maples.
After Melania married Donald, they welcomed their first and only child together in 2006, 18-year-old Barron.
But now, she’s opening up about what it was really like to take on her stepmom role in the big family, especially after rumors circulated for years that there were differences between some of them.

Melania is opening up about what it was really like to become a stepmom in a large family, especially after rumors circulated for years that there were differences between some of them.
When Melania married the businessman in January 2005, he already had four children from his previous marriages.
“Upon marrying Donald, I found myself navigating the intricate dynamics of his large family,” Melania wrote in her new memoir.
“It required flexibility and openness, but every moment was an opportunity to connect, learn and grow in this new environment.”
She explained that when she married Trump, many of her stepchildren had already become “more independent,” and while Tiffany was in her “formative years,” she lived with her mother in California.
“My approach to building relationships with Donald’s children has always been based on love and respect,” Melania wrote.
“I recognize their individuality and understand that, as their stepmother, my role is not to replace their mothers but to foster a friendly and supportive connection,” she continued.
“This perspective has allowed me to cultivate meaningful relationships with each child in a unique way.”
However, she did maintain that she does not always agree with the opinions of her stepchildren, or even her own husband, it is a ‘natural aspect’ of any relationship.
“While I do not agree with every opinion or choice expressed by Donald’s oldest children, nor do I agree with all of Donald’s decisions, I recognize that differing points of view are a natural aspect of human relationships,” wrote the jewelry designer.

‘I understand that being possessive is not conducive to a healthy family dynamic. “Each member requires their own space, and I have made it a priority to respect that need,” Melania wrote in her new memoir.
The wife of the White House hopeful emphasized that in any of her relationships she firmly believes in one principle and that is ‘don’t control, communicate!’
Ahead of the publication of her memoir, Melania sat down for a rare interview with Fox News’ Ainsley Earhardt in New York and broke her silence on a wide range of topics.
“It is critical to remember that every person deserves respect and understanding, regardless of disagreements,” he continued.
‘I have focused on creating an environment where everyone feels free to express themselves authentically. Rather than imposing my views or criticizing others, my goal is to be a constant presence, someone they can rely on.’

The country needs to unite and I encourage everyone to re-read my letter I wrote on July 14 because that cannot continue.”
