Mel B and her lookalike daughter Phoenix Chi will appear in the upcoming series of Celebrity Gogglebox, it has been announced.
Phoenix, 25, is Mel’s firstborn, conceived during Mel’s brief marriage to Dutch dancer Jimmy Gulzar.
Mel has two other children, both girls: Angel Murphy Brown, 17, with Eddie Murphy and Madison Brown Belafonte, 11, with her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte.
Channel 4’s Gogglebox has been airing since 2013 and its celebrity edition has featured the likes of Graham Norton, Naomi Campbell and Jeremy Corbyn.
This will be Mel’s second foray into Gogglebox – he appeared in a 2022 special with British-American actress Ruby Wax.

It will also be the first time Mel and Phoenix will appear on television together, as Phoenix previously presented parts of ITV. Olympic series The Games.
A Celebrity Gogglebox source said Mirror: “It’s very exciting to have Scary Spice and Phoenix together on the couch, they’re going to be fantastic.”
Leeds native Mel previously described her eldest son Phoenix, who grew up in the US, as “very wise”, which will no doubt be reflected in the show.
The women share a close bond, and Phoenix frequently dresses up as Mel in her Scary Spice heyday.
The news comes after it was confirmed that Mel would be joining the cast of Bear Hunt, led by Bear Grylls and Holly Willoughby.
Bear Hunt, filmed in Costa Rica, is a £10million Netflix adventure show that will see British celebrities go head-to-head in the jungle.
The grueling endurance reality competition show stars Boris Becker, Strictly Come Dancing judge Shirley Ballas and rugby legend Danny Cipriani, among others.
While other celebrities have landed in Costa Rica, it is unclear if Mel B arrived as she was due to speak in Manchester to talk about her memoir Brutally Honest.
An updated reissue, Brutally Honest details Mel’s marriage to her ‘abusive’ ex-husband Stephen.
Mel is now happily engaged to Rory McPhee, and the couple plan to marry at St Paul’s Cathedral, with Victoria Beckham designing Mel’s dress.
It will also be the first time Mel and Phoenix will appear on television together, with Phoenix previously presenting parts of ITV’s Olympics series The Games.
An excited source said: “It’s so exciting to have Scary Spice and Phoenix on the sofa together, they’re going to be fantastic.”
The women share a close bond, and Phoenix frequently dresses up as Mel in her Scary Spice heyday.
Bear Hunt will see Bear hunting down the contestants and when he finds them they will be eliminated from the show.
There has been a notable security presence and several staff members surrounding the hotel where the presenters are staying in the province of Guanacaste.
