Megyn Kelly slammed Drew Barrymore for being a ‘wake up and weak white woman’ after the daytime TV host took a knee before a trans activist who has been accused by some of trivializing femininity with her online persona.
On The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, Barrymore appeared to bow down in front of Dylan Mulvaney, a controversial TikTok personality who called herself a “dummy” and once compared herself to a Barbie doll.
But the gesture received backlash from onlookers, including Megyn Kelly, who demanded to know, ‘where are the strong women?’
‘Maybe I should do the next presidential debate from the ground. Maybe I should have been sitting on the floor when I asked Trump or any of these other guys the hard questions,” Kelly exclaimed on her show Wednesday.
‘How weak is she? Where are the strong women?… What’s up?’
Megyn Kelly slammed Drew Barrymore for being a ‘woke and weak white woman’ after taking a knee before a trans activist who has been accused of trivializing femininity.
On The Drew Barrymore Show on Tuesday, she appeared to bow down in front of the controversial TikTok star who called herself a “dummy” and compared herself to a Barbie doll.
Kelly, who was quick to point out that she doesn’t watch The Drew Barrymore Show, continued: “Fake strength by showing every weakness that comes out of your pores.” And it may all be an affectation, which makes it even more insulting.
On Tuesday’s Barrymore Show, the former child actress compared the online trolls terrorizing Mulvaney to her own experiences receiving negative movie reviews as a child star.
At one point in the interview, Barrymore and Mulvaney were deep in conversation about hate online when Mulvaney told Barrymore, “It’s interesting because I see someone like you and I can’t imagine anyone disliking you.”
Barrymore responded by getting on one knee and saying, ‘Oh please, do you want to know ironically who dislikes me more sometimes? Myself.’
Mulvaney then joined her on the ground and the two embraced. The gesture received mixed reactions from viewers.
Much of the outrage stemmed from Mulvaney’s controversial TikTok videos which have previously been criticized for oversexualizing and infantilizing femininity.
Barrymore and Mulvaney were engaged in a conversation about hate online when Barrymore fell to the ground and then Mulvaney joined her and the two hugged.
“What’s weirder here, here, Dylan (Mulvaney) is the normal one,” Kelly said on her show Wednesday. ‘Dylan is not being particularly strange to me. Drew Barrymore is.
“As an image, (Barrymore on her knees) sums up a lot of what’s driving real biological women crazy about this whole evolution, which is that trans women are walking into our locker rooms, into our sports, into our bathrooms, into our colleges, and so”. forward and taking over,’ Kelly added.
Kelly continued, “And we as women are expected to get down on our knees and be grateful and say, ‘We appreciate what you’re doing to us, and anything else means you’re a fan.'”
‘It was so scary. The fake smile of hers… This is an actress. Drew Barrymore is acting. And what was she acting out? She woke up her, weak white woman praying at the transgender altar.
‘That’s your part in this particular role… Like you’re both kneeling on the ground, and so the ground feels safer?’
Mulvaney began his transition in March of last year. Some have labeled her online personality, which seems to caricature women, as “insulting.”
Mulvaney has often been criticized for appearing to overly sexualize and infantilize women with her ‘Days of Girlhood’ series.
Viewers were divided over the controversial kneeling that followed Tuesday’s show.
Many people took to Twitter to complain about the odd gesture, with one viewer accusing Barrymore of “fawning” over his guest.
Oli London, who has documented her own gender identity struggles in her book Detransition, said: “Drew Barrymore kneels down to hug Dylan Mulvaney after Dylan told a sad story about how hard it is to be a woman.”
Twitter user Ginette Hardwick said: “Drew Barrymore kneels before the atrocious Dylan Mulvaney who caricatures ‘childhood’. It’s not real Drew, nothing like that. Please stop being a servant.
However, other viewers pointed out that Barrymore often kneels before her guests during particularly emotional interviews.
Images shared online show the former child star kneeling before a litany of stars, including Kate Hudson and Hillary Clinton.
“Every time I watch a clip from the Drew Barrymore show, she is ALWAYS kneeling in front of or sitting on top of another woman,” wrote one viewer.
Another shared multiple shots of the host bending over during interviews as she wrote, “She frequently kneels and sits on the floor with guests.”

Last year she came under fire for a video advocating for the normalization of ‘bumpy women’, referring to the fact that she is still waiting for a ‘butt job’.
Mulvaney explained how she often wore baggier clothing to avoid being embarrassed by the ‘bulge’ in her crotch.
The video drew the ire of transgender celebrity Caitlyn Jenner, who said: “Let’s not normalize anything this person is doing.” This is absurd!
