With just five days until the 2024 elections, journalist Megyn Kelly believes that the biggest bombs of this campaign are yet to fall.
“I don’t think we’ve gotten the October surprise yet,” said Kelly, host of The Megyn Kelly Show Podcasthe told DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview on the eve of the vote.
“I bet someone is still going to drop something big on us,” he predicted, pointing to an “increasingly desperate” Harris campaign, which has now begun comparing Trump to some of the most notorious nutjobs in history.
‘They are calling Trump a Nazi (and Joseph) Goebbels. They call him a fascist, Mao, Stalin,” Kelly said. ‘What would you do if you thought Hitler was about to be elected? Frankly, it’s a dangerous thing.
Kelly, 53, has long been at the center of American politics, first as a reporter for the Fox News channel and then as host of the network’s primetime show, ‘The Kelly File.’
With less than five days until the 2024 elections, journalist Megyn Kelly believes that the biggest bombs of this campaign are yet to fall.
After a brief stint at NBC News, Kelly launched her podcast, now one of the most popular in the country, once again putting her in the middle of it all. And that experience suggests to him that this wild ride to 2024 is far from over.
“It’s probably going to get uglier and stranger and stranger,” he said. “There will probably be a few more women who will come out and accuse Donald Trump of things because Democrats love that old chestnut.”
Kelly confronted then-candidate Trump in 2015 over his treatment of women during a Republican primary debate hosted by Fox News. After the event, Trump lashed out at Kelly with a bizarre rant. But now the veteran journalist has made it clear that she has moved on and even recently told her listeners that she voted early for the former president.
However, despite his hope for a second Trump term, Kelly admitted to the Mail that he has no idea how this election will turn out.
‘I’ve read everyone and everything. I’m desperate to know. “I can’t wait to know, but we can’t know,” he said.
For one thing, Kelly is hesitant to put his faith in public opinion polls.
‘Are the polls on Donald Trump still wrong?’ she questioned. ‘Are Trump Voters Still Underestimated?’
“Everyone thought Hillary Clinton was going to win. The prediction there was like 93 percent, 98 percent.”
In 2024, Kelly says there is reason to suspect that pollsters will finally be getting it right.
‘Are Trump Voters Still Underestimated?’ he reflected. “There’s every reason to believe that’s not the case, that they’ve actually fixed it.”

Many of the Americans who voted for Trump in 2016 had not voted in previous elections, so they were overlooked by pollsters seeking the opinions of people most likely to go to the polls.
Kelly suggests that there may now be no such thing as a “hidden” Trump supporter: “Trump got them to register (to vote) and got them to vote.” They are all already baked into the pie, so Trump’s undercounted vote no longer exists. This is a theory.
Polls aside, Kelly believes Tuesday night will play out in two possible ways: Either the United States knows the winner fairly quickly or Election Day becomes Election Day.
“If it comes down to Pennsylvania, it’s going to be a long week,” Kelly predicted.
There is a scenario where Trump and Harris split the nation’s electoral college votes and it all comes down to the Keystone State.
Under Pennsylvania state law, local election officials are prohibited from counting mail-in votes until 7:00 a.m. on Election Day, while other states allow these votes to be tabulated in advance, speeding up the final count.
On the other hand, Megyn can also foresee a path to a quick call on November 5th.
“I think there’s a good chance we’ll find out on election night,” he said.
If Trump wins the Sun Belt states (Nevada and Arizona in the west, and North Carolina and Georgia in the east) and also wins Michigan and Wisconsin, then, Kelly believes, there may be an early resolution.
It’s a completely plausible scenario, according to Kelly, who cited polls showing Trump ahead in Georgia, and reports that the Harrises hastily pulled their campaign ads from North Carolina this week.
Furthermore, he maintains, Trump has the wind in his favor.
“If you look at the momentum, at least right now, it’s been behind Trump for the last 10 days…if you were Trump, you’d want the election to happen tomorrow.”
And President Biden’s comments Wednesday night referring to Republican voters as “trash” were another coup for the Trump campaign.
Kelly believes Trump’s response to Biden’s gaffe—appearing at a rally in Green Bay, Wisconsin, wearing a reflective vest and sitting in the passenger seat of the garbage truck adorned with a Trump-Vance banner—was very shocking.
“With these images, he goes from being a unique candidate to becoming an American icon. Great entertainment, even better politics.’
However, now, in these final days of this race, Kelly has a word of warning for Trump.
‘No more surrogate mothers, no comics, no grandiose donors. “It’s not worth it,” he said, a clear reference to the controversial speakers at Trump’s rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday.
As for Democrats, Kelly doesn’t have much help to offer.
Even Harris’s most effective replacements, Barack and Michelle Obama, have “lost their fastball,” he said, dismissing the Obamas’ recent rebuke of black men, who may be leaving the Democratic Party in historic numbers.
“The country has become anti-man,” Kelly said. ‘The messages around men have been absolutely disrespectful and dehumanizing for a long time, and who does it? The Democratic Party.
“I don’t think anyone is going to vote for Kamala because Barack has shamed him for his alleged sexism or secret racism against her or because Michelle has shamed him for not standing up for women’s rights.”
On election night, Megyn will host a live panel of experts, including the Mail’s Maureen Callahan and leading conservative experts like the Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro.
