Megyn Kelly slammed CBS debate moderators after they muted JD Vance’s microphone during a “fact check” about Haitian immigrant claims in Springfield, Ohio.

The conservative commentator and former Fox News host, 53, led to to condemn the way moderators Margaret Brennan and Norah O’Donnell handled the debate between JD Vance and Tim Walz.

Even though CBS claimed there would be no fact-checking during the debate, Brennan reviewed Vance’s comments about Haitian immigrants overwhelming the Ohio community.

Kelly erupted over the move, tweeting: ‘Fuck you CBS, how dare you?’

‘I tried to verify the facts. JD put you in your place. “You will NOT (let) him fight with you and you will not let them debate,” he added.

The contentious moment between Brennan and Vance came when the debate conversation turned to the immigration crisis and Vance commented on the influx of Haitian immigrants to Ohio.

The city of Springfield has been the focus of the 2024 presidential campaign for weeks after Vance and former President Donald Trump claimed immigrants there were “eating pets.”

“Thank you, Governor, and just to clarify for our viewers, Springfield, Ohio, has a large number of Haitian immigrants who have legal status, temporary protected status,” Brennan interjected.

Vance seemed surprised by the moderator’s interruption, as he responded: ‘Thank you, Margaret…

“The rules were that you guys weren’t going to fact-check me, and since you’re fact-checking me, I think it’s important to say what’s really going on.”

He then argued that obtaining the particular immigration status that Brennan said was “legal, temporarily protected” became much easier under the Biden administration.

Immigrants, Vance said, could be “granted legal status with the wave of a Kamala-Harris open border wand.”

“Thank you, Senator, for describing the legal process,” Brennan responded dryly.

Vance continued speaking, noting how “Kamala Harris blazed that trail,” when Walz joined in and said that “those laws have been on the book since 1990.”

However, when Vance attempted to clarify another point, his voice was suddenly not audible in the studio when CBS cut off his microphone.

“Gentlemen, the public can’t hear you because your microphones are cut off,” Brennan told them. “We have a lot of things we want to get to.”

During the debate, Walz surprised by stating that it had been done

During the debate, Walz raised eyebrows by claiming that he had become “friends” with school shooters.

The moment came during the high-stakes vice presidential debate between Vance and Walz, who argued about politics for two hours Tuesday night.

When the topic turned to gun control, Walz raised eyebrows by appearing to trash-talk about becoming “friends with school shooters.”

The mistake came when Walz revealed that his 17-year-old son Gus witnessed a shooting at a community center while playing volleyball.

Vance responded by saying he was shocked and offered his condolences, in a rare moment of bipartisanship.

“I don’t want my kids to go to school in a school that feels unsafe…we have to increase safety in our schools,” Vance said. ‘I think Governor Walz and I probably agree that we need to do better on this. The question is how we actually do it.’
