Meghan Trainor has been candid about her heartbreaking birth story in her upcoming book, Dear Future Mama.
The Made You Look singer, 29, discussed the birth of her son Riley, whom she welcomed via C-section in 2021 with husband Daryl Sabara, 30.
The Massachusetts-born star — who recently shared her bizarre bathroom habits — revealed that she suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) after giving birth, in an excerpt from her book that he shared. the people.

“I had to learn how traumatic it was,” added the star – who is currently expecting her second child.
Trainor wrote of the moment she realized something wasn’t right after giving birth: “They moved him back over the curtain, and after a few minutes I realized I didn’t hear him cry.”
“Why isn’t he crying?” I asked, seeing Daryl’s face change as he looked at the place where the doctors were working.
Then Trainor wrote that she asked for some time to bond with the child.
“The energy in the room was frayed, and someone told me there wasn’t time, but a sweet nurse angel brought my baby to me and laid his warm little body right on my chest.”

After the family finally got home and Meghan began to struggle with PTSD, she said she then got help from a therapist and “just worked through it” adding, “time heals everything.”
Dear Future Mama is set to hit bookshelves April 25.
Trainor announced on the USA Today Show in January that she was expecting her second child with the Spy Kids star.
