Meghan McCain has beaten Donald Trump again, amid allegations that the White House has ordered the navy to cover a military ship with her father's name.
The View host claimed that Trump created an environment of fear in the army when it comes to John McCain, and said the president was obsessed with him.
Her comments came shortly after Trump stated that anyone who asked to have the name of the USS cover John S McCain before his visit to sailors in Japan & # 39; well-meant & # 39; was and added that he & # 39; not a fan & # 39; was from the late senator.
& # 39; The President's actions have consequences & # 39 ;, McCain said during the episode of The View in Thursday.
& # 39; If you repeatedly attack my father and war heroes, it creates a culture in the army where people are clearly afraid to show my father's name in one way or another. & # 39;

The host of View said that Trump has created an environment of fear in the army when it comes to the name of John McCain, and said the president was obsessed with him. Depicted is the USS John S McCain in Singapore in August
& # 39; And I think this has begun this series of events. If you are afraid of wearing a USS McCain hat or showing the warship flag … you put people in horrific situations in the army because they are afraid of their job. & # 39;
& # 39; God forbid, if you are a sailor on this ship, you think there will be some kind of retribution, & # 39; she added.
McCain said she believed the incident & # 39; terrible & # 39; and & # 39; bad for Americans & # 39; used to be.
& # 39; I think we should really look at the culture being introduced, & # 39; she said. & # 39; I don't blame the people in the army, I only respect people who serve. & # 39;
The host of View then described what she was told, repeated criticism from the media about how often she talks about her father and how she mourned for him in public, before she wipes at Trump again.
& # 39; It is impossible to go through the sorrow process if my father, who has been dead for 10 months, is constantly in the news cycle because the president is so obsessed with the fact that he will never become a great man the way he was, & # 39; she said.
McCain said she believed the incident & # 39; terrible & # 39; and & # 39; bad for Americans & # 39; was and said that Trump & # 39; was obsessed & # 39; was by her deceased father
The audience burst out in applause at the last comment. McCain then revealed that it was a & # 39; bizarre way to grieve and say goodbye & # 39; from her father.
& # 39; It is so ubiquitous in politics and not at all as if we honor him & # 39 ;, she added. & # 39; But in a way that you arm his estate the way you want. & # 39;
& # 39; So I just want to say that you have more compassion. This is very difficult. I try to make a game every day and try to be as stoic as possible. But sadness is difficult and I am still sad. & # 39;
& # 39; And I am sorry if nine months are not enough to continue. But when Trump does this, it gets harder. & # 39;
On Thursday, Trump defended the person who had ordered the name of the USS John S McCain to be disguised.
& # 39; Now someone did it because they thought I didn't like him. All right? They were well-intentioned, I will say, & said the president. & # 39; They thought they were doing me a favor because they know I'm not a John McCain fan. & # 39;
The president also reiterated his claim that he knew nothing about the White House's request to cover the ship's name prior to his visit to the Yokosuka Naval Base for Memorial Day.
& # 39; I don't know what happened. I was not involved. I hadn't done that, & Trump said to journalists at the South Lawn of the White House on Thursday morning.

Trump said he was angry when McCain voted no about a Republican bill to overthrow President Obama's affordable healthcare law, a move that ended GOP efforts to kill Obamacare, but added that he never ordered such a thing would give.
& # 39; I was very angry with John McCain for killing healthcare. I was in no way a big John McCain fan, shape or form, & he said. & # 39; I was not a fan, but I would never do something like that. & # 39;
In a second series of questions about the incident, Trump said they would probably find out who had submitted the Navy request.
& # 39; I don't know who did it. We will probably be able to find out who did it, & he said.
& # 39; I was not a John McCain fan, I will never be, but I don't care if there is a boat named after his father, & # 39; he added.
The ship is actually named after three McCains who served in the navy: the deceased senator, as well as his grandfather, John S McCain Sr., an admiral during World War II, and his father, John S McCain Jr., an admiral in Vietnam era.
The president tweeted on Wednesday: & # 39; I was unaware of anything related to the USS John S. McCain naval vessel during my recent visit to Japan & # 39;
Navy officials said the tarps covering the ship's name had been removed before the president arrived at the Yokosuka Naval Base.
& # 39; The name of USS John S. McCain was not obscured during the POTUS visit to Yokosuka on Memorial Day. The Navy is proud of that ship, its crew, its namesake and its origins, & wrote Admiral Charlie Brown, the chief of naval information, on Twitter on Wednesday evening.
Images seem to show a canvas that carries the ship named after the war hero, depicted in uniform in 1964, because a collision in 2017 made it harder to move
Navy Commander Clay Doss, a spokesman for the seventh US fleet, said "all ships remained in normal configuration during POTUS's visit."
The Navy said that a photo of a ship with the name of the ship was taken last Friday, but the canvas was removed on Saturday before the president arrived.
Secretary of Defense Patrick Shanahan said he did not allow the cover of the ship.
& # 39; I have never given permission for any movement or activity related to that ship & # 39 ;, he told reporters traveling with him in Jakarta. & # 39; I would never disgrace the memory of a great American patriot like Senator McCain. I would never despise the young men and women who man that ship. & # 39;
Shanahan said he has asked his chief of staff to investigate the incident.
The White House has to deal with the consequences of a Wall Street Journal report that officials have asked the Navy to cover the ship's name prior to Trump's visit.
It was said that the talk about the cover-up between lower staff members would have happened.
High naval officials claim they will put the kibosh on the plan once they have heard of it.
Before speaking about the incident on The View, McCain tweeted that Trump was a & # 39; child & # 39; was that her father would not rest in peace
& # 39; There were emails between senior officers, but once the leaders heard about it, they said they should turn it down, & # 39; a senior naval officer told CNN.
But service staff told The New York Times that USS McCain sailors were not invited to hear Trump speak during his visit.
And when some of them showed up, with their USS McCain insignia, they were rejected, a service representative told The Times.
Trump said the deposed sailors did not owe an apology.
& # 39; No not at all. We had a great group of sailors from different ships. It was a beautiful day, but the McCain thing I knew nothing about, & he said on Thursday.
Before speaking about the incident on The View, McCain tweeted that Trump was a & # 39; child & # 39; was that her father would not rest in peace.
& # 39; Trump is a child who will always be deeply threatened by the grandeur of my father's incredible life & # 39 ;, she wrote. & # 39; There is a lot of criticism of how much I am talking about my father, but nine months after he passed, Trump did not let him RIP. So I have to stand up for him. It makes my grief unbearable. & # 39;

Trump and First Lady Melania arrived on Tuesday at the Japanese destroyer JS Kaga in Yokosuka, south of Tokyo
Trump had a rocky relationship with McCain, who died last year.
In March the president called him & # 39; terrible & # 39; after the two daughters of the deceased senator begged the president to leave their father and family alone.
& # 39; I am not a fan. He was terrible what he did with withdrawal and replacement. What he did with the Republican Party and the nation, and with sick people who had had great health care, was not right. So I'm not a John McCain fan and that's fine, & Trump told Fox Business Network.
Why was the USS John S. McCain in Japan?
The USS John S. McCain was involved in a collision with an oil tanker in 2017, killing ten sailors.
The ships crashed into each other during the hours of August 21, 2017 in the busy shipping lanes around the Strait of Malacca. There were no casualties among the tanker's crew.
The collision caused the tanker to tear through the hull, creating a hole that flooded the berths of the crew and the machines and communication rooms.
It is currently stationed at the Yokosuka Naval Base, south of Tokyo, which is being repaired.
The fallen men ranged in age from 22-39, and greeted from eight US states – Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Texas.
Trump has repeatedly been shocked by his late arch enemy and forced even McCain's youngest daughter, Bridget, 27, to make a rare public statement in defense of her late father in March.
She closed Trump and called him a & # 39; child & # 39; and said he was not invited to the senator's funeral because & # 39; you could not count on being courteous & # 39 ;.
Trump had complained during a visit to a factory in Ohio that he was not thanked for giving McCain, who was held in a Hanoi prisoner of war camp for five and a half years during the war, & # 39; the kind of funeral he wanted & # 39 ;.
& # 39; I supported him at his request and I gave him the kind of funeral he wanted, which I had to approve as president. I don't care, I haven't received a thank you. Which is good. We sent him on the way. But I wasn't a John McCain fan, & said Trump.
The president was criticized after McCain's death for not having let the flag fly in the White House with half staff. It was eventually lowered and remained so until McCain was buried.
He was not invited to the funeral at the request of the deceased senator. Former presidents Barack Obama and George W Bush gave the loft statements. A lot of political VIP's – including Bill and Hillary Clinton, Michael Bloomberg, Joe Biden and Mitt Romney – were also present.
McCain's feud with President Trump dates from the 2016 presidential campaign when Trump criticized him for being imprisoned in Vietnam.
& # 39; He is not a war hero, & # 39; Trump said in July 2015, sarcastically said: & he is a war hero because he was imprisoned. & # 39; "
& # 39; I love people who are not committed, & # 39; he added.
