Joe vs. Donald: It’s the rematch no one wants.
On Tuesday, Biden is expected to announce that – despite indicating in 2019 that he would be a one-term president – he is bringing his pilot back into the ring for 2024.
And in one of the silliest comedies in political history, a new poll shows that the vast majority of Americans think this is a very bad idea.
70% of Americans, including 51% of Democrats, do not want him to run, according to A.J NBC News survey.
Wait, it gets worse, hysterically worse.
53% of those who voted for Biden less than three years ago in 2020 say he should not run. And 76% of voters under the age of 35 believe it is time for Joe to retire.
Why? Well, it’s not a huge surprise.
“It’s all about his age and his ability to do the job,” said Chuck Todd, host of Meet The Press, who was shocked by the poll results.
So, how does the Democratic Party justify supporting Grandpa for another 4 years, if the thought of another ticket for Biden-Harris makes voters cringe?
The answer is irony. Pure irony.
Democrats know that Americans are disgusted by the idea of pulling the lever in favor of Donald Trump. And in a competition between two bad choices – they think Joe has the advantage.
Biden’s only saving grace is that he is marginally less unpopular than Trump.
On Tuesday, Biden is expected to announce that – despite indicating in 2019 that he would be a one-term president – he is bringing his pilot back into the ring for 2024.

In one of the more comical sketches in political history, a new poll shows that the vast majority of Americans think it’s a very bad idea for Biden to run in 2024.
48% of voters have a negative impression of the president. 53% say the same about the big bad orange guy. And this same poll shows that 60% of Americans don’t want Trump to run for president in 2024 either.
You’d think those numbers would force the parties to go back to the drawing board, but no. Apparently, that’s what we got.
Indeed, Trump may have been distancing himself from his closest primary rival in the GOP, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and DeSantis seems seriously wobbly.
While on a foreign trip through Japan, DeSantis is confronted by a reporter over his disappointing performance in a potential match against Donald.
“I’m not a candidate, so we’ll see if and when that changes,” he exclaimed, shaking like a bobblehead at speed.
And any hope for an insurgent Democratic candidate also seems like a pipe dream.
When RK Jr., an anti-radical with self-confessed “demons of lust,” and Marianne Williamson, an outrage junkie, and self-help guru are the liberal’s great hopes, there isn’t much hope at all.
Is this really the best we can do, America?
If it comes down to these two guys – no matter who wins, we lose. We end up with a president who has already been rejected by the majority of the country. And it gets much, much more frustrating than that.
In January, 71% of Americans said they believed the country was on the wrong track in another NBC poll.
Honestly, I don’t know what the other 29% think. We are on the wrong planet.
There is a deep and growing mistrust among citizens. There is a decline in faith in institutions and a simmering hatred of the media.
In addition to Biden’s apparent mental decline and Trump’s obvious moral shortcomings, both men are emblematic of this devastating malaise — that partisan fistfight that has been simmering for years.
Trump cannot be separated from the shame of the Jan. 6 riots.
Biden is under serious suspicion of corruption involving his family, and there is clear evidence that his campaign interfered with press coverage of the laptop of his dear son, Hunter from Hell.

Indeed, Trump may have been distancing himself from his closest primary rival in the GOP, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, and DeSantis seems seriously wobbly.

Democrats know that Americans are disgusted by the idea of pulling the lever in favor of Donald Trump. And in a competition between two bad choices – they think Joe has the advantage.
Last week, the House Judiciary and Intelligence Committees released transcripts of interviews with Obama’s former deputy CIA director, Mike Morell. He orchestrated this infamous statement from 51 former intelligence officials, who promoted the lie that Russia was behind Hunter’s dirty hard drive.
The letter claimed that the disclosure of Hunter’s digital dirty laundry on the eve of the election had “all the classic features of the Russian information operation”.
Then Joe Biden used the letter as support for shutting down Trump during the 2020 debate.
“Look, there are 50 ex-National Intelligence guys out there who said what they’re accusing me of is a Russian plan. They said this has all the characteristics of — four, five former CIA chiefs, both parties, saying that what he says is a bunch of rubbish,” Biden claimed.
Of course, the laptop is real. That message was not important.
But, why would seasoned intelligence officers make such a flagrant mistake at such a critical moment?
It turned out that Morell, by his own account, had been contacted by Biden’s then-campaign advisor, current Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, who “triggered the events leading up to the release of the public statement.”
Morell also explained that he organized the memo to “help Vice President Biden” win the election.
Everything stinks to the high heavens. But I doubt it will be fully resolved.
Mad Russia, Russia, Russia was a dark spot in American history and all players are tainted, especially the intelligence community who hastened to help their favorite candidate. Even if the mainstream media shrugs and says, “Who cares?” – We care, because we suffer.

Morell (above) also explains that he orchestrated the memo to “help Vice President Biden” win the election.
America is still stuck in repetition. It’s Groundhog Day. We are destined to experience the worst modern election cycle over and over again. It’s a political episode of The Twilight Zone.
Oh my God, will it ever end?
I hope so, but first we will probably suffer the indignity of these two very tired campaigns.
Biden will vow to “restore the soul of the nation — again.”
Trump will promise to “Make America Great Again – Again.”
We all deserve better, but that will not happen until we lift ourselves out of this impasse and demand new leadership free from the burdens of the past.
The octogenarian class held power for a long time.
Barring any huge surprises tomorrow, ship has sailed for the Democrats. But Republicans still have a chance to put some fresh blood on the ballot.
I hope they do – I can’t watch another reboot.
