President Joe Biden thinks the migrant crisis in America is one big joke.
When reporters asked how “things were going” on the southern US border on Sunday, he just grinned and laughed.
“Much better than you all expected,” he scolded a group of journalists waiting at the side of a bike path in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.
Then he chuckled.
Sorry I do not understand it.
Just a few days ago, up to 11,000 migrating men, women and children daily fought and clawed their way to America. Not to mention the number of migrants who have entered illegally.
An estimated 530,000 migrants have crossed the border in the past eight months. The number rises to 1.2 million since Biden became president.
Last week, towns in northern Mexico looked like something out of a Mad Max movie.
Smelly, garbage-strewn tent camps popped up along the Rio Grande. Photos and videos of migrants carrying babies across the river splashed onto our TV screens.
Some desperate people crawled under barbed wire and others caught hapless Mexican border guards by surprise.
El Paso, Texas looked like a refugee camp, with single migrant men, side by side with families, sheltered under tarps on the city streets.

There were reports that food and water were scarce. Everyone prepared for the worst.
Yes, there have been fewer border detentions in recent days, but that is pointless. Even Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said it is “too early to tell” whether the wave of migrants has reached its peak.
And our president thinks it’s funny to make fun of the traveling White House reporters as he cruises by on his 12-speed.
The problem, Mr. President, is that the media is not responsible for putting the nation on edge. You are!
“It’s going to be chaotic for a while,” Biden told reporters last Tuesday, as his administration lifted Title 42, the Trump-era border policy that allowed agents to quickly deport illegal migrants.
“We’ve had chaos at the border for several years now,” he said on Wednesday, laying the groundwork for blaming someone else if the situation really got worse.
You could feel the tension rising in the White House as tens of thousands of migrants rushed to northern Mexico.
It was chaotic. And the president is laughing now?
Following her boss, Vice President Kamala — the “border czar” — was just as flippant about the border disaster.
“I’ve heard things are going pretty smoothly these past few days, given the concerns,” she said Friday at a Democratic fundraiser in Atlanta just hours after Title 42 was lifted, and even as busloads of migrants were dropped off. outside her residence in Washington DC
‘Rapid’? Is that what you would call it? Is this level of ignorance a criminal offense?
Here’s your border reality check.
On Sunday, a Texas congressman released video of 6,000 male migrants crammed into a border patrol facility built to house 1,000 people. No doubt it is a scene that repeats itself over the Rio Grande.
The immigration system is completely overwhelmed. And the Biden administration’s only response is to release these people into the country — with little more than their promise to show up for trial.

In fact, the U.S. immigration system is so incredibly overrun by this unprecedented influx of people that migrants seeking asylum must wait a decade for a judge to review their claims.
Yes that’s right.
Migrants will live in America for 10 years before it is determined whether they can stay.
And of course it gets worse.
On Wednesday, an as-yet unidentified Afghan on the US terror list was arrested for illegally entering Southern California.
Last week, a 17-year-old migrant from Honduras, who arrived without parents, died in government custody in Florida.
It is the second death of an unaccompanied minor in two months. He was one of more than 220,000 such minors apprehended by Border Patrol since October 2022.
You’d think the president and the “border czar” would be a little more concerned. But here’s why they aren’t: they’ve washed their hands with this whole affair.
In case you haven’t noticed, we are entering a new election season.
On Sunday, Biden was asked if he “has plans to visit the southern border,” and our happy president suddenly turned very serious.
“Not anytime soon, no,” he said. “It would only be disturbing.”
Right — it’s the same reason Biden didn’t visit the East Palestine, Ohio resident when a toxic train devastated their town.
He doesn’t want voters to think he’s taking any responsibility.
So, who is in charge of securing America’s sovereignty?
Border native Kamala Harris knows it: “The bottom line…is that the immigration issue is entirely the responsibility of the US Congress,” she told reporters.
We have stopped addressing the ‘root causes’ of the migration crisis, Madam Vice President?

The government has reportedly raised more than $4.2 billion in “private sector pledges” to solve the underlying problems and convince men, women and children to risk their lives and move hundreds of miles from Central America to the draw the American border.
Are you telling us it didn’t work? I am shocked.
No, Biden and Harris are pushing the issue to Congress because they’ve given up.
From now on it’s all political.
In fact, they probably never intended to solve the problem in the first place. It was just too hard. And if I sound cynical, it’s because I am.
The crisis will only erupt again and real people – Americans and migrants alike – will suffer.
Worst of all, it’s yet another sign that America’s political leaders are incapable of leading.
Remember, President Donald Trump won the 2016 election in no small part because of his tough stance on illegal immigration.
This is the recipe for getting him back in power.
Mark my words — the Trump campaign team cuts a political ad showing President Joe Biden in his bike helmet and aviator goggles, giggling about the border crisis before riding off to get ice cream with his grandkids.
The joke is on us, America.
