Meghan Markle’s Suits co-star didn’t mention the duchess by name when discussing the group of young actors he “loved” working on set and “playing” with in Toronto, despite being the same age as her.

“I love this scene because I love these two actors so much,” she revealed. “I also love being able to see Mike in his old life because this is Suits, he becomes his new family and it’s so much fun to see these two actors that I loved working with and remember this version of Mike’s life.”

Patrick replied: ‘These were people my age at the time… There’s something that happens when everyone is the same age and they’re in that zone of competition for jobs and you’re like, “Am I going to be an actor?”
“So once Vanessa, Tom and I started working on scenes together, it was just kind of a fun realization of how lucky we were to see how good this material was and how fun it was to play.”
Sarah then highlighted the “very special connection” that exists between the trio.
The episode barely mentions Meghan’s role on the show beyond mentioning her as a co-star; though it’s possible that more information will be revealed in next week’s episode, as the Duchess’ character doesn’t appear until the end of episode one.
Patrick, who also attended the royal wedding in 2018, also did not name Abigail Spencer, who in addition to being the same age as him and Meghan, was known as the duchess’s best friend on set.
This comes as Patrick, who years ago supported Meghan as an “enthusiastic, kind, cooperative, generous, cheerful and supportive member of her television family” when she was accused of “bullying” royal staff, recently revealed that he has had “z‘ero’ communication with his former on-screen love interest.
