A royal expert has suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in the process of changing their name. talking to the sunRoyal historian Hugo Vickers shared insights into the couple’s evolving public personas, noting that Harry appears to be returning to his former philanthropic roots, while Meghan might be considering a return to acting.
Vickers noted that when Meghan is away, Harry tends to take the lead, handing out awards and discussing causes he is passionate about. However, when Meghan is present, she often takes control of the narrative, and Harry seemingly follows suit.
The expert believes it is “very possible” that both Harry and Meghan are consciously trying to reshape their public image. “Prince Harry is trying to become the old Prince Harry and do what he was very good at.” Vickersreferring to Harry’s previous work in charity and philanthropy.
Vickers continued, “He’s handing out awards instead of accepting them and talking about the topics he likes to talk about when he’s alone.” However, the dynamic changes when Meghan is by his side. “When Meghan is there, I always find that he is saying what she tells him or she is the one doing the talking. “She leads the narrative.”
Vickers also highlighted Meghan’s background as an actress and suggested that her recent public appearances reflect that world. “She, of course, was an actress, so appearing in a red dress in front of one of those advertising screens and talking to celebrities is very much her world,” he added.
As the couple navigate their post-royal lives, experts like Vickers believe they are actively redefining their roles, with Harry focusing on causes that align with his previous philanthropic efforts and Meghan potentially returning to the entertainment industry.
