Meghan Markle’s makeup artist has revealed the secrets behind her ‘glowing and stress-free’ Zoom look, including brushed eyebrows, a ‘juicy’ lip gloss and a base finish reminiscent of her wedding day look.
The Duchess of Sussex, 38, spoke to a British youngster virtually from her Los Angeles home on March 27 as part of her role as a patron saint of SmartWorks, with a clip from the video call released yesterday by the charity.
Now makeup artist Ruby Hammer has revealed how the royal nailed the ‘perfect’ video calling makeup by opting for a look similar to her wedding day style.
Ruby, who has done Meghan’s makeup on several occasions, including one of the royal family’s first dates with Prince Harry, 35, told The Telegraph“Her face looks shiny and stress-free … Looks like she did her own makeup, as you’d expect, but she knows what works for her.”
Celebrity makeup artist Ruby Hammer has revealed how Meghan Markle, 38, ‘nailed’ the perfect Zoom beauty look by opting for a look that looks like the finish on her wedding day
The make-up artist said the royal woman had opted for make-up ‘similar to how she had her finish on her wedding day.’
She suggested that the royal had used a combination of tinted moisturizer with a heavier concealer under her eyes, making the rest of her coverage “ light enough for you to see her freckles ” and “ not make up. ”
The makeup artist added that thanks to her ‘clean living’ lifestyle, Meghan has ‘beautiful skin’, which allows her to keep her coverage light.
Meanwhile, Ruby said the Duchess had also chosen to apply a ‘healthy patch of blush’ out high on her cheeks to avoid looking ‘washed out’.
The makeup artist, who has worked with the Duchess of Sussex in the past, said the king’s skin looked ‘glowing and stress-free’
The makeup artist suggested that the royal woman raised her eyebrows and carefully filled in the form.
She said, “Meghan’s eyes look really awake and alert, which is partly due to the eyebrows and also the fact that Meghan has two or three coats of mascara.”
Meanwhile, Ruby revealed how Meghan probably applied a layer of translucent powder to the top of her cheeks and became matte between her eyebrows, the sides of her nose, and her chin.
The makeup artist said using transculent powder was “the fastest way to look polished and professional.”
Ruby compared the look with Meghan’s wedding makeup, revealing how the royal woman had chosen a light base to show off her freckles
She also pointed out that Meghan’s choice of a ‘sultry lipstick or juicy lip gloss’ would be comfortable and the royal could be reapplied quickly if needed.
In a music video released on charities Instagram page yesterday the duchess is chatting virtually with an unnamed woman who applied for an internship after completing her psychology studies.
She praised the young person for her positive attitude and said “there is so much going on in the world right now,” but she was a “beacon of hope and all positivity.”
The clip features Meghan wearing a simple deep red v-neck sweater with several gold pendants.
The royal woman, who is still the organization’s patron, despite a step back from royal duty, launched her clothing collection with the organization in London in September
Meghan has visited Smart Works privately several times before she was made a royal patron in January last year and has been committed to supporting women’s empowerment for years.
The Duchess launched the Smart Set collection last September, with every item sold by the retailers paired with one item donated to SmartWorks.
Despite relinquishing royal duties with Prince Harry last month, Meghan has been allowed to maintain her patronage.
