According to a former friend of the Duchess, Meghan Markle has reportedly given up a major opportunity to marry Prince Harry. Lizzy Cundy, a British television personality, revealed that before joining the royal family, Meghan had ambitions to star in an unscripted English reality show.
In an interview with OK MagazineCundy shared that Meghan was eager to break into the English reality TV scene. “I wanted to be on an English reality show,” Cundy said. She recalled Meghan asking her, “Do you know any famous guys? I’m single and I love English men.”
It seems that Meghan had to give up this career aspiration when she married Prince Harry. Now, the former actress is focusing on rebranding herself in the United States. She is working on a new lifestyle brand called America Riviera Orchard and developing a cooking show for Netflix.
Royal expert Tom Quinn recently claimed that Meghan feels ridiculed and frustrated by how her life has turned out, particularly due to the negative criticism she and Harry receive. “There is a growing rift between Harry and Meghan caused by Meghan’s growing concern that her life is not going in the direction she had planned – she loves the media attention and hates the fact that polls suggest she and Harry are no longer of much interest to the American public,” Quinn said.
Quinn also noted that Meghan was deeply affected by the negative reception to her new brand. “Meghan cried when the brand was launched and her new jam was widely ridiculed for being expensive and nothing special,” she added.
This look at Meghan’s ongoing sacrifices and struggles highlights the complexities of her transition from actress to duchess and now American public figure. Despite her glamorous appearance, it underscores the challenges and adjustments she has faced in her personal and professional life.
