Fitzwilliams suggested that the changes provided new evidence of the need for the Sussexes to show that they can succeed outside of the Royal Family.
“It was well known that Harry and Meghan were extremely bitter at being forced to step down as senior working members of the royal family and although they kept their titles, they were unable to use them and also lost their patronages,” he said.
“However, your brand today is inextricably linked to being real. The challenge they face is to show that they are really creative by doing something themselves.’
Meghan Markle’s official royal biography stripped her of her title of Her Royal Highness three years ago. However, she remained on some sections of her actual website, including a quote from a speech given in 2019.
A Buckingham Palace spokesman said it had been regularly updating the website following the death of the late Queen Elizabeth II and outdated information had now been amended.
‘The Royal Family website contains over five thousand pages of information on the life and work of the Royal Family.
“After the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the content was regularly reviewed and updated. Some content may be out of date until this process is complete.’
