Meghan Markle could soon return to lifestyle blog The Tig to boost her popularity and reconnect with fans, an expert suggested today.
Amid revelations from a new poll, the Sussexes are now less popular than Prince Andrew in their new homeland of the US and in the wake of the humiliating South Park episode, brand and culture expert Nick Ede said they will rethink their PR strategy.
And one of those changes that Meghan might consider involves her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig.
The blog was her passion project from 2014 to 2017 – at the height of her Suits fame – and featured everything from resolutions to diet tips and fashion finds.
She also explored feminist topics and shared musings from her childhood and career before getting her big break.
And while Meghan closed her old blog in 2017 to minimize public scrutiny before marrying into the royal family, Ede told MailOnline she could now see it as the key to future success.

He said, “I wouldn’t be surprised if Meghan brings back The Tig or a similar lifestyle brand like Poosh and Goop.”
Mr Ede believes the Sussexes will now be working behind the scenes on ideas to ‘boost their popularity’ in the wake of Spare and the Netflix documentary.
But he said Harry would be smart to keep a low profile after his constant attacks on his family – otherwise he will only make the situation worse.
“They’re doing well financially so it’s time they shut up and work within the walls of Archwell and inspire and excite their fans and not expose themselves to ridicule or ridicule,” he said.
The pair reportedly pocketed £88 million as part of a multi-year deal with streaming giant Netflix, which produced their recent docuseries.
They also have a deal with Spotify, as well as Prince Harry’s three-book deal with Penguin Random House.
But as their popularity wanes, there are some suggestions that work may begin to dry up.
It has been rumored that the lifestyle blog may be returning since 2022 after it was revealed that she had filed an application to trademark the name.
Since last December, Harry has sunk 48 points and Meghan 40, giving them a net approval rating of -10 and -17, respectively, according to a study by Redfield & Wilton for News Weekheld on February 19.

While Andrew continues to be viewed negatively following his New York civil suit brought by his sexual accuser Virginia Roberts — which he settled out of court — his net approval rating stands at -2, with 26 percent of Americans saying they don’t like him. are allowed, compared to 28 per cent who are not.
The popularity of the Sussexes across the pond comes just days after they were royally mocked by South Park – a satirical cartoon famed for keeping its finger on the pulse of American culture.
The pair were satirized in an episode that aired on February 15 – four days before the latest poll – titled The Worldwide Privacy Tour and depicted them embarking on a publicity blitz to promote the Prince’s new book, Waaagh.
Some have argued that the coronation could be the chance to restore their reputation by quietly supporting the king.
Mr Ede said they will focus more on making money in the US.
He said: ‘I don’t think they are welcome at many royal events and they know they have a lot to do building bridges if they want to.
“I think they will focus on building their own credibility by building on their brand and I also think they will silently develop brand extensions for themselves.”

The latest research suggests that the Sussexes’ increased attention and attention, brought on by their six-part Netflix docuseries, Harry’s memoir Spare, and a flurry of bombshell interviews, has only turned larger segments of the public against them.
The poll shows that 18 percent of American respondents had no positive or negative feeling about Harry, while 7 percent answered ‘don’t know’. Some 20 percent were on the fence about Meghan, and only 8 percent had no opinion.
The figures show that only 25 percent of respondents did not express strong feelings about the Duke, and 28 percent about the Duchess.
However, when it came to Andrew, who has kept a low profile, some 32 percent of respondents had a ‘neither favorable nor unfavorable’ view, while a further 13 percent answered ‘don’t know’ – for a total of 45 per cent. cent didn’t have a strong opinion anyway, which may have made him a less polarizing figure.
Respondents were also asked if they felt positively or negatively about Harry, Meghan and Andrew, with the results likely to put the couple sober.
Some 32 percent were positive about Harry, compared to 27 percent about Meghan and 26 percent about Andrew.
However, 44 percent had negative sentiment towards Meghan, compared to 42 percent for Harry and just 28 percent for Andrew.
