Harry and Meghan see a £ 5.4 million ($ 7 million) Malibu mansion in the “Megxit” countdown when the couple finishes all official royal duties on March 31.
The royal couple originally promised to divide their time between the UK and Canada and spent their six-week Christmas vacation in a luxurious £ 14.1 million waterfront mansion on Vancouver Island.
But there are now reports that the couple would like to move to California, where they would be close to Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland, Silicon Valley and Hollywood.
The five-bedroom townhouse, believed to be on their radar, also features a swimming pool, tennis court, and extensive grounds.
It was owned by Baywatch star David Charvet and his wife Brooke Burke and would be just around the corner from a host of major Hollywood names, including Robert Downey Jr., Mel Gibson, Dick Van Dyke and Caitlyn Jenner.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are depicted as they leave Canada House in London on January 7 before their announcement was made. They are expected to resign officially on March 31, a date that is now called “Megxit.”
Last month, Caitlyn Jenner told Loose Women that she had heard that the Sussex people were looking for a home in Malibu.
The star of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, 70, told the talk show panel that Harry and Meghan had “probably enough” to take such a drastic step back from their royal duties, but added that it must have been “very difficult” for the actress.
Asked what she thinks the following will happen for the royal couple, she said: “I can’t predict because I tried to raise our royal family in the US. It was probably very difficult for Meghan to get into the royal family.
“It was a big shock to her, she has probably had enough. Good for them, we’ll see how it goes. I heard they were looking for a house in Malibu. It must have been difficult. Everyone deserves to be happy. “
The house in question would be only 30 miles away from its Meghan’s Doria, 63, in the Windsor Hills.

Malibu also offers the couple easy access to Hollywood because they offer offers from movie and television superpowers such as Netflix and Disney. MailOnline has contacted Buckingham Palace for comments.
It was revealed yesterday that the Sussex people will resign officially on March 31 and close their office in Buckingham Palace.
From that moment on they will no longer work royals, with only six assignments to complete before ‘Megxit’.
Their final task is expected from March 9, when they join the Queen at Westminster Abbey to mark Commonwealth Day.
