Megan’s blistering Sports Illustrated cover was unveiled earlier this week, with the rap star taking to Instagram to celebrate the milestone.

“I want to thank all the strong women in my life who have inspired me to love my body and live my best hot girl life. It means the world to me to be on this cover. DREAM COME TRUE!!’ she wrote.

“The first female rapper on the cover of @si_swimsuit,” she added with two crying emojis to indicate she was overcome with emotion.

For her cover shoot, Megan looked absolutely gorgeous in the newsroom, posing in a beige cropped bikini.

In the magazine, the Savage hitmaker wore a pink petal-themed bikini top and green bottoms.

Stallion spoke to PEOPLE about the honor, saying, “When I got the call that they wanted me on the cover, I was like, ‘Wha…? Me?” And to be the first female rapper on the swim cover makes it extra special.”

While saying the shoot itself was “magical,” the rapper admitted that a lot of hard work had gone into her sculpted physique.

“I had been training for months and was super prepared. I immediately got to work. [Photographer] James [Macari] said he usually doesn’t get in the water until the fourth or fifth set up, but we were both in the ocean from the start.”

She added: ‘The day was perfect and I had a blast.’
