Meg Ryan was spotted enjoying a sunny day of shopping with her daughter Daisy True in a rare public outing together on Wednesday in New York.
The City of Angels star, 62, and Daisy, 20, browsed books at McNally Jackson bookstore in the SoHo area, before shopping for clothes in TriBeCa.
The actress, who was recently honored at the Sarajevo Film Festival, showed off her casual style in a white cotton blouse, black cargo pants and sneakers.
The queen of 90s rom-coms carried a crossbody bag and sunglasses that shaded her eyes. Meg’s shoulder-length blonde hair was styled in soft waves.
Daisy looked chic in a butterfly-print button-down blouse, tucked into a pair of blue jeans and a black belt.

Meg adopted Daisy from China in 2006. She also shares biological son Jack Quaid, 32, with her ex-husband, actor Dennis Quaid, 70.
The former couple welcomed Jack in 1992. They were married for 10 years, before finalizing their divorce in 2001.
Five years later, Meg adopted Daisy, who was born in 2004.
Last year, the Sleepless in Seattle star gushed about her children, saying: People“I have two wonderful children. They are so funny, smart, kind, interested in others and curious about the world. I feel like they both make the world a little bit better and I am so proud of them.”
“It’s a joy for me to meet you both,” the doting mother added.
Daisy started college last year. At the time, Ryan said he visited his daughter “probably more than I should” and made several-hour trips just to see Daisy on campus, even if it was just to share a cup of coffee.
She also admitted that she was strict as a mother and that Daisy did not have a phone “until she was 15.”
“She really is someone who has a lot of different interests and is a big reader and at least has a reminder that the phone isn’t everything,” he told People.
While Daisy is still studying, Jack has followed in his famous parents’ footsteps as an actor.

He made his acting debut in 2012’s The Hunger Games. He also starred in Oppenheimer, Logan Lucky, and the television series The Boys.
In July, Jack admitted he has no problem accepting the “nepo baby” label and acknowledged that being a child of Hollywood has put him in a “privileged” position.
“I’m an immensely privileged person, I was able to get representation fairly early, and that’s more than half the battle,” Jack said. Daily Beast.
“I knew the door was open for me in a lot of ways that it’s not open for a lot of actors. And I’ve tried to work as hard as I can to prove that I deserve to walk through that door.”
Jack is also aware of his privilege when he is approached for a role in a romantic comedy, considering his mother Meg to be the “undisputed queen of rom-coms.”
“So if it’s in the romantic comedy space, it has to be different enough, and I need to work really hard,” she told the outlet.
Ironically, it was Ryan who attempted to defend his son from the “nepo baby” moniker by highlighting how the term belittles the work his son has done in his career.
“That whole Nepo thing is so dismissive of his work ethic, his gifts, and how sensitive he is to the idea of his privilege,” Ryan told the outlet at the time.
While Jack was very grateful for his mother’s return, he also admitted that he benefited from having famous parents.
What Happens Later, which is set for release in 2023, marked Meg’s return to the screen after an eight-year absence. She co-starred in the film alongside David Duchovny, 63, and directed and co-wrote the film.
Meg is best known for her leading roles in romantic comedies during the 1980s and 1990s; she is seen in a still from City Of Angels (1998).
“My first thought was that she’s a loving mother, but I don’t think she’s trying to say that I’m not a nepo baby. I think she’s just trying to say that, in her opinion, that undermines my talent,” he told the Daily Beast.
“I don’t think that diminishes my talent. I know I work hard and I know I’ve heard ‘no’ more than ‘yes.’ But I also know that it’s incredibly difficult to break into this industry and I had an easier time than most. Both of those things can be true.”
As well as being a busy mother, Meg also recently returned to acting. What Happens Later, which is set to be released in 2023, marked her return to the screen after an eight-year absence. She co-starred in the film with The X-Files star David Duchovny, 63, and also directed and co-wrote the film.
Meg rose to stardom in the 1980s, playing the female love interest in hit films such as the original Top Gun and When Harry Met Sally.
As the years passed, she became inextricably identified with romantic comedies, and her best-known films include Sleepless In Seattle and You’ve Got Mail.
