Meet the man who stays in some of the UK’s worst-rated hotels, so you don’t have to.

Zac Jones, a delivery driver from Liverpool, jumps from one “terrible” hotel to another, sharing images of his experiences that have helped him gain more than 70,000 followers on his site. @zacjonesliverpool TikTok account.

Zac scours Tripadvisor to find hotels with shockingly bad reviews and then travels across the country to give his verdict on them.

Here are six of Zac’s featured stays, which featured ‘disgusting’ bathrooms, overflowing rubbish bins in the hallways, sticky floors, musty smells and, in one instance, a bedroom that was already open when he arrived.

Britannia Sachas Hotel – Manchester

This property has a dismal average rating of two out of five. 2,941 reviews on Tripadvisor, with 1,595 of them giving “terrible” verdicts.

One recent reviewer, ‘Maddie’, urged users of the review platform not to waste their money on it, concluding that it was “easily the worst hotel” she had ever stayed at.

“It’s swelteringly hot in the rooms and nothing works,” he fumed.

In it video In reviewing this property, Zac sets out to determine if the hotel is “as bad as they say.”

Entering the building, lit by a neon sign, he says it “looks nice from the outside.”

As she explores the building and finds her room, she says it is “far from perfect, but far from terrible.”

Upon closer inspection, fourthShe says her bed and bathroom look clean and concludes that “there’s not much to complain about.”

Overall, he says, “This place isn’t as bad as people say.”

The Adelphi Hotel is ranked 106 out of 109 hotels in Liverpool, with an average rating of 2.5 out of five. 8,975 reviewsof which almost 3,000 are rated as “terrible.”

It’s not very appealing on paper; one Tripadvisor user complains that the staff are “rude and unhelpful” and another is disappointed with their “dark, dingy and dirty” room.

What does Zac think?

Looking at its exterior, he says it is “a pretty nice building,” and upon entering, He points out“I’ve been in worse places than this.” He describes his room as “a bit dated” but “clean,” except for the “rotten windows.”

Exploring the rest of the building, including its grand entrance, he saysPeople joke about this place, but it actually takes me back in time. I feel like it’s a classy place.

This Britannia hotel, which draws visitors to nearby Alton Towers, is almost universally hated, with 207 ‘Terrible’ reviews out of a total of 335.

One reviewer said: “Do not stay here, especially if you have children. We were given a room that had not been cleaned and was dirty (with hair in the sink), unmade beds. And the room my partner and I were given stank of sewage.”

When Zac checkups inYour bedroom is already open and unlocked, which is not a great start.

Continue labeling parts of the bathroom “It’s disgusting,” he adds, adding that he “doesn’t feel like sitting on the toilet.”

“The bed feels cheap,” he says, and the room is “basic,” but he concludes that “it’s not that bad.”

But compared to what? Some might ask…

The Grand Hotel in Llandudno receives an average rating of three out of five 2,767 reviews – but it is rated as the worst hotel in the city.

One Tripadvisor reviewer calls it “embarrassingly bad.”

Zac he folds it bedroom “One of the best” he’s ever been to at a Britannia hotel. And even though the doors to his balcony are closed, it gives him a ‘positive review’.

He adds that the hotel has a “charming” restaurant with sea views.

The Britannia Hotel scores three out of five 713 reviews.

Of these, 185 are “terrible” and 104 are “bad.” Eighty-two guests rate the hotel as “excellent.”

But what does Zac conclude?

Zac’s Notes the “nice” sofas in the lobby, but then becomes disturbed by the black trash bin filled with rubbish located outside his room, which he describes as the The worst room in Britannia He has always stayed there.

What are the problems? These include a “musty smell,” a “sticky” feeling bathroom floor and a door that has multiple scratch marks, probably “from a dog.” Perhaps he was desperate to escape.

Zac concludes: “This is not a very well maintained hotel at all.”

The Grand Hotel – Scarborough

Located in Scarborough town centre, this hotel is a “beautiful looking building with 10/10 views of the North Sea,” according to Zac.

It gets a score of 2.5 out of five. 10,172 reviews on Tripadvisor, and nearly half of them received a “terrible” verdict.

One reviewer said her room smelled like “rotten cheese.”

From Zac conclusion is that the property is ‘a little run down’, with its room having a dirty shower and a hole in the wall.
