As Slovakia prepare for their crucial round of 16 clash against England at Euro 2024, a former beauty queen is also preparing for the biggest match of her career.
Former Miss Slovakia finalist Simona Leskovska has been working with the national team throughout the tournament and will do the same in Sunday’s match.
Slovakia’s players will conduct pitchside interviews with Leskovska, a former model who has 200,000 followers on Instagram, ahead of the match in Gelsenkirchen.
Having initially worked with the national team’s under-21 side, Leskovska recently revealed she has been through “a lot of tough times” to get to this point.
speaking to ExtraHe said: “I have been working for the Slovak Football Federation for three years and started with the under-21 team.

He will be on the pitch to interview Slovakia’s players ahead of their clash with England.
‘They were a good team, I got used to them and last September I started working with the first team.
‘Some people told me that a woman with modeling experience wouldn’t make it in football.
“But several years have passed and those people who laughed at me now want to take photos with me.
‘Now we publish more on social networks and make videos on the playing field. This concept has become very popular.
She added: ‘You may just see a pretty face, but I’ve been through a lot of hard times to get to where I am now.
‘There are still many goals I want to achieve. I learned a lot about football, even though people thought I wasn’t good enough.”
Since competing in Miss Slovakia in 2015, Leskovska has continued her career in media and has seen her Instagram follower count rise to 200,000.
He initially started reporting on hockey but moved into football and now has the chance to work with the national team for their round of 16 clash against England.
