Meet the Ecumene Aztec game, based on AC and about primitive tribes.. | -WhatsNew2Day

Date:

Developer Giantscraft has announced its project Ecumene Aztec, a new third-person RPG in development for PC and scheduled for release in 2025. The game has attracted a lot of attention due to its likeness to Assassin’s Creed, as we can see from an offer announced above.

In Ecumene Aztec, you play a member of an Aztec tribe who is trying to withstand the onslaught of Spanish conquistadors in the jungles of Central America. Giantscraft studio promised us a strong narrative, delivering an RPG experience with impressive character sacrifices, gritty combat, stealth gameplay, weapon crafting and resource gathering.

Other gameplay features include character upgrades via blood sacrifices and three unique character classes Jaguar Warrior, Eagle Warrior and Snake Warrior. The game involves climbing trees and rocks, making traps, weapons and various equipment needed to defeat the enemy. The tasks are also varied, from rescuing the members of the tribe to liberating the prisoners and expelling the enemies and resisting them.

The game has been likened to Assassin’s Creed in that it offers common elements such as stealth and climbing, and even feels like it borrows from it. The movement mechanics of the characters were noted to be a bit buggy, but the team promised to fix as much as possible by the game’s launch next year.

It is likely that the game will be released on PC only, and we do not know if it will be available later after the launch for home devices.
