A determined man has become an internet sensation after revealing that he wanted to sample a sausage sandwich at every Bunnings store in Australia.
Sydney resident Josh Eastwell, 25, first embarked on his ambitious road trip last January, but the Covid pandemic put his ‘dream’ on hold with endless border closures.
Since border restrictions have been relaxed, the hungry traveler, who works in a warehouse in the Harbor City when not on the road in Australia, recently documented how he drove from New South Wales to Western Australia.
The epic journey lasted 36 hours and was part of his self-titled Great Australian Sausage Crawl on TikTok.
It’s incredible that Mr. Eastwell has already been able to enjoy the tasty snack in every Bunnings store in five of the eight states and territories.

Broome in Western Australia was another location where Mr Eastwell (pictured) bought a sausage from outside the entrance to a Bunnings
He has recently sampled sausage delicacies from Bunnings stores across the west, including Albany, Rockingham, Harrisdale, Cockburn Central, O’Connor, Cannington, Subiaco, Busselton, Bunbury, Australind, Mandurah, Armadale, Bibra Lake and Claremont.
Mr Eastwell, who has an impressive mullet style haircut, also devoured the iconic Bunnings treats from shops in Innaloo, Malaga, Wangara, Joondalup, Balcatta, Mindarie, Ellenbrook, Bayswater, Midland, Belmont, Northam, Maddington, Willeton, Melville, Baldivis, Halls Head, Geraldton and Broome.
So far Mr Eastwell has achieved his lofty food target in Bunnings stores in South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, ACT and Western Australia.
New South Wales has a whopping 90 stores, which is likely to make the challenge even more difficult.
“I’ve been to 24 stores in NSW so far, I’ll be there soon enough,” Mr Eastwell told Daily Mail Australia.
‘I’m single, so I think that makes it easier to be flexible with my time.
‘My brother (Ace) joined me on the road trip to Western Australia, we had a lot of fun… it was quite hectic, just driving from Perth to Broome took 30 hours.
“Now we have to finish the rest of NSW before heading to Victoria and the three Bunnings stores in the Northern Territory to get the job done.”
Speak with TodayEastwell said he was determined to have his name engraved in the history books so that future generations can be amazed.
“I feel like there’s not much going on in Australia right now in terms of expedition,” he said.
‘What is something that no one has ever done? A sausage from every Bunnings (shop) in Australia.’

Mr Eastwell’s determined quest has made him a social media sensation, with thousands of followers
Mr Eastwell also revealed his favorite sausage sizzle to date – Devonport in Tasmania.
He described the sausage as “fantastic” because of its “circumference, length and sausage-to-bread ratio.”
Seaford in South Australia caught the eye of Mr Eastwell’s palate for their variety, mainly beef, pork and chicken as sausage options available.
He has attracted an army of social media followers, many of whom have been impressed with his journey into left field.
One even called his quest “every Aussie’s dream journey.”
