Peter Thomas Roth is famous for his eponymous skincare line, but now his 101-year-old mother has become an unexpected viral star thanks to her youthful complexion and glamorous sense of style.
It all started after Peter’s son, Ryan Roth, 26, who lives in New York City, shared a shopping video with his Hungarian grandmother Carole on TikTok.
Suddenly, she became an online sensation as millions fell in love with her spunky personality and timeless looks.
The video received 1.1 million views and more than 7,400 comments from people who praised her fashion choices and begged her for beauty tips.
‘We have to see pictures of her when she was young!’ wrote one follower.
“She is literally perfection,” praised another.
DailyMail.com caught up with Ryan after returning from visiting his grandmother in South Florida to talk about how she’s reacting to her overnight fame and why she won’t take off her new $3,200 Balmain sequin dress.
She explained that the video came about after Peter received a $250 gift card in the mail from Saks and the family visited the upscale Bal Harbor Shops in Miami together over Thanksgiving.

It all started after Peter’s son, Ryan Roth, 26, who lives in New York City, shared a shopping video with his Hungarian grandmother Carole on TikTok.
In the video, Carole was wheeled around the mall and looked at racy designer outfits. She then tried on a series of stunning outfits and shared her thoughts on each one.
Ryan said her grandmother was “a big shopper in her day” and loves glitzy glamour, but added that she hasn’t really shopped alone for the past 10 years, so they “always have to go out of their way to make sure that you receive something.

She then tried on a series of stunning outfits and shared her thoughts on each one.
“I feel like a cow,” she joked while trying on a Zimmerman dress.
“Once you wear it, everyone will talk about it,” she said of a blue dress, before boldly declaring that it was a piece you could only wear once.
“My grandma has it,” she joked about a polka dot dress, adding that even though she’s older, it would make her look even older.
Carole fell in love with a silver sequin Balmain dress that she initially thought was too expensive, but to the delight of her new fans, she ended up buying it and has been filming videos in it ever since.
“We were going to buy her a scarf or something and then she got this really crazy Balmain dress,” joked Ryan, director of influencer marketing at Peter Thomas Roth.

Ryan told DailyMail.com that his grandmother was “a big shopper in her day” and loves ostentatious glamour.
Ryan posted the video, went to bed, and woke up to five million views. She quickly woke up Carole, who sleeps until 2 in the afternoon, to tell her that she was now famous.
While she normally has to read the newspaper, watch TV, and make coffee, she got out of bed to go shopping again and create more content.
After people realized that Carole’s son was Peter, the anti-aging skincare guru, that only contributed to her newfound popularity.
Now, searches for the brand on Google are the highest they have been all year.
Ryan revealed that most of the comments are something like, ‘Okay, you’re 101 years old, you look amazing.’ What is your skin care routine? making TikToks the ultimate unconventional (and unplanned) marketing technique.
It also helps that Carole is “religious” about using her son’s skincare brand.
“I’m not kidding, you open your sock drawer and your skincare falls out,” Ryan divulged.
“She’s a ‘more is more’ type of girl,” he continued, adding that in many of the videos, she is often seen saying that she doesn’t know the price of any products because she gets them all for free.
Since the video went viral, Google searches for her son’s brand, anti-aging skincare guru Peter, are the highest they’ve been all year.
When it comes to her skincare routine, which fans always ask about in the comments section, Ryan said she’s religious about using the Retinol Fusion Night Serum ($65).
In the morning, Carole opts for the Water Drench Hyaluronic Cloud Cream ($54) followed by the Peptide Skinjection Moisture Infusion Cream ($65).
Since Peter Thomas Roth doesn’t perform any body treatments, Ryan said he “only uses facials from the forehead down.”

Carole is also a fan of Potent-C Energy Serum ($105) and Instant FIRMx Collagen Bounce Bar – Sheer Glow ($36).
After the first video, Ryan and his grandmother returned to the mall and Carole jokingly asked if they would recognize her, and to her surprise, it happened three times that day.
When someone told her they saw her on TikTok, her immediate response was ‘What do I look like?’
“The trick to getting older is being vain, because as soon as you give up, you give up,” Ryan revealed.
Now, Ryan has to return to Florida to film more content with his grandmother, and he even stayed later after Thanksgiving just to make more TikToks.
“It’s such a sweet experience for both of us, I love how we have this special bond,” said Ryan, who is shown above with his family.

She even started landing brand deals thanks to her online fame, as Alice + Olivia invited her to choose whatever she wanted.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Ryan said, joking that she’s now a “working girl” and getting millions of views on sponsored videos.
During the Alice + Olivia shopping trip, Carole kept confirming in Hungarian that the clothes were indeed free and asked her to thank the brand repeatedly.
He has also gained a celebrity following, including Paris Hilton, who comments on many of his videos.
