After graduating from college in Connecticut, McManes moved to Virginia, where he worked for the McChrystal Group.
She later moved to Texas and joined People.ai. In August 2023, she took on a new role at DataGrail as a Senior Customer Success Manager.
While working at a corporate level, she also launched a non-alcoholic kava seltzer brand called Kaviva.
According to the company, the product is “a kava-based sparkling water, with just enough kava in one can to create a mouth-tingling sensation and euphoria.” It also “comes in fruity flavors,” “is hangover-free and is athlete-approved.”
They are dating since October 2022.
While it’s unclear how the couple met, they began dating in late 2022 while both living in Austin, Texas.
Thomas moved to the Lone Star State to be trained by Tonja Buford-Bailey and earn his master’s degree in epidemiology at the University of Texas Health Science Center.
The sprinter is reportedly a frequent presence on the businessman’s Instagram page, however, he made his social media accounts private at the start of the Paris Olympics.

Thomas was named to Team USA after winning the 200-meter event at the U.S. Track Trials.

The McManes siblings, along with their parents Skip and Lori McManes, are some of Thomas’ biggest fans.
The whole clan is in Paris cheering her on, according to photos posted by Spencer’s mother.
She shared a series of photos from the Olympic trials earlier this year, which showed the family wearing T-shirts with Thomas’ name on them.
