Charley Hull, the world’s No. 8 female golfer, channeled her inner John Daly while signing autographs for fans at the US Women’s Open on Tuesday.

Hull put his pen to paper, so to speak, as he had a lit cigarette in his mouth while greeting his fans at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania.

The image circulated on social media, even reaching the phones of those competing in the event itself, as World No. 1 Nelly Korda showed it to Hull and fellow golfer Megan Khang as the three shared a laugh.

Social media reaction was swift as several golf fans weighed in on Twitter.

“No one makes golf look cooler right now than Charley Hull,” one user wrote.

“It’s funny because on (Instagram) she’s always in the gym and stuff but on the field (she’s) throwing darts lmao,” said another.

That wasn’t her only heater of the day, as one fan posted a picture of her lighting another one later in the round.

Another post on Twitter read: “Charley Hull cracks a cigarette while signing autographs for kids.” John Daly is probably shedding a tear somewhere,” while another called the move “John Daly-esque.”

Daly, the two-time major champion, has a penchant for throwing darts during tournaments.

He even reportedly consumed two packs of cigarettes in the first round of this year’s PGA Championship at Valhalla in Louisville, according to The Athletic.

Daly withdrew before the second round of the tournament.

Hull regularly posts on Instagram, showing off her looks to her more than 438,000 followers.

Hull, 28, is a two-time winner on the LPGA Tour and a three-time winner on the Ladies European Tour.

He began playing golf at the age of 2 with his father at their home course in Kettering, Northamptonshire and turned professional at the age of 17 in 2013.

Last year, Hull was diagnosed with ADHD and has been open about how fitness has helped her manage her symptoms.

“When I feel like I’m struggling, I go to the gym,” Hull told Sky Sports in an interview in April. ‘I decided not to take any medication because I feel like I can control it myself.

‘One of the most important things for me is routine. That’s why the job I have works well because my days have a regular structure.

‘When I’m on tour I can get into a really good routine and that helps me enormously. I understand myself better in terms of what works for me and what doesn’t.

‘I know how important routine is to me and I’m better at scheduling and planning so I can be as healthy as possible. I put myself first. I know my triggers and how to deal with them. Only I do it.’

Hull, who has more than 438,000 followers on Instagram, is interested in fashion and described her style as “unapologetic.”
