Uruguayan footballer Federico Valverde (24) from Spain’s record champions Real Madrid is said to have attacked guest player Alex Baena (21) and hit him in the face after the royal team lost 3-2 against Villarreal FC. The Spanish media reported unanimously.
The argument is said to have occurred near the team buses of both teams. Villarreal is said to even have video footage of the brawl.
Apparently there has been animosity between the two players for a long time. Baena is Spain U21 international.
With the defeat, Real had to accept another setback in the title race in LaLiga. Pau (16th) scored an own goal at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu to give Real the lead, the equalizer from the Bayern Munich shock from the 2021/22 Champions League season, Samu Chukwueze (39th), countered Vinicius junior (48. ).
