In the coming summer, there could be a major upheaval at Bundesliga soccer club Eintracht Frankfurt. Not least because of the sporting setbacks in recent weeks, several top performers could force their departure.
At Daichi Kamada, the decision has now been made that Eintracht will not continue after the end of the season. The Japanese is currently looking for a move to other European countries.
Star striker Randal Kolo Muani is also in great demand in the continent’s top leagues and is associated with Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United, among others.
According to a “Bild” report, Eintracht Frankfurt has now considered a new transfer target should Kolo Muani actually move on after the current season. According to information from the newspaper, the SGE is on the storm jewel Elye Wahi, who is currently under contract with the French first division club Montpellier HSC.
The 20-year-old has already scored 13 goals in 26 appearances in the current Ligue 1 season and is one of the greatest attacking talents in France. Most recently, he was also used in the U21 selection of the Équipe Tricolore.
André Silva’s return campaign is probably not an issue for Eintracht
In addition to Eintracht Frankfurt, Borussia Dortmund has also been repeatedly associated with Wahi from the Bundesliga, who is mostly used in the center forward position.
The youngster is contractually bound to Montpellier until 2025. A summer transfer should therefore be a very expensive affair. Should Wahi’s compatriot Randal Kolo Muani from Frankfurt actually be sold, a purchase of the goalscorer would probably be possible. According to consistent media reports, Eintracht could collect up to 100 million euros for Kolo Muani.
As the “Bild” report goes on to say, the club has already made contact with the player’s environment, sports director Markus Krösche should be convinced of the qualities of the offensive man.
Meanwhile, a possible return campaign by André Silvas from RB Leipzig should not be an option for Eintracht Frankfurt. The Portuguese is not without controversy with the Red Bulls, but according to the newspaper, it cannot be financed with the current salary structure in Hesse.
