A teenager has been charged after another teenager was allegedly stabbed at a McDonald’s.

The 17-year-old was allegedly stabbed in the face, neck and chest at a fast food outlet in Deception Bay, north of Brisbane, at 9.30pm on Saturday.

Two McDonald’s workers rushed to the boy’s aid until emergency services arrived.

He was rushed to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Queensland Police arrested several people following the incident.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with grievous bodily harm and is expected to appear at Redcliffe Youth Court on Monday.

A 13-year-old boy was previously charged with one count of unauthorized trafficking in commercial products.

He will appear at Redcliffe Youth Court on Monday.

“Investigations are ongoing,” a Queensland Police spokesperson said.

A McDonald’s Australia spokeswoman said the restaurant had been forced to temporarily close following the incident.

“The safety and well-being of our people and customers is our top priority,” he said.

“We can confirm that emergency services attended McDonald’s Deception Bay on Saturday at approximately 9.30pm.

The 16-year-old was charged with grievous bodily harm and is expected to appear at Redcliffe Youth Court on Monday.

‘The restaurant was temporarily closed while police attended and reopened shortly before midnight.

“We will continue to provide our full support to all employees working at that time.”
