McDonald’s breakfast wrap is back on menus today after being briefly removed due to unprecedented demand.

The popular morning dish initially returned to branches across the UK and Ireland last week as part of the fast food chain’s latest menu update.

However, it was later removed over fears that such a large number of orders could have created a shortage of other breakfast products.

It can be purchased for £4.39 as a single item or £5.89 as part of a meal and is available to order in stores or with McDelivery.

McDonald’s describes the Breakfast Wrap as a “pork sausage patty with free-range egg, bacon, potato rosti and cheese, in a soft tortilla wrap, with your choice of brown sauce or ketchup.”

The McDonald’s breakfast wrap consists of a pork sausage patty, two eggs, a slice of bacon, a crispy potato rosti and cheese, and is served in a tortilla wrap with tomato ketchup or brown sauce.

Following the initial announcement of the breakfast wrapper’s return, fans were quick to express their excitement on social media.

On X, formerly Twitter, one user enthused: “Amen to the return of breakfast.”

Another fan happily posted: ‘I love McDonald’s new breakfast wrap. Two eggs… how delicious!’

A third joked: “Happy McDonald’s Wraparound Breakfast Day to those celebrating.”

A fourth added: ‘The McDonald’s breakfast wrap used to be my go-to for years until it was discontinued. Today is the first day I have taken it again and the wait was worth it.”

The return of the Breakfast Wrap comes with the introduction of some new menu items, including the McSpicy x Frank’s RedHot, Raspberry and White Chocolate Pie, KitKatRuby Chocolate McFlurry, and KitKat Milk Chocolate McFlurry.

Arguably the most anticipated item on the menu is the new McSpicy, which is a chicken burger served with lettuce, Emmental cheese, jalapenos, onions and Frank’s RedHot Mayo on a sesame seed bun.

You can get the new McSpicy® x Frank’s RedHot on its own for £5.59 or as a meal for £7.29.

These limited edition menu items will only be available for purchase for six weeks while supplies last.

Other items returning to the menu include Big Tasty with Bacon and Mozzarella Dippers with Sauce, which are also available in a larger sharing box.
