McDonald’s launched a new meal deal in the UK earlier this month, and people have called it the “adult” version of a happy meal, but they have some complaints about it.
The deal, which costs £5, is available from October 9 and gives diners some options so they can personalize the deal to suit them.
The price includes a cheeseburger or a chicken sandwich with mayonnaise, as well as a medium drink, fries and four chicken nuggets.
Alternatively, the chips can be swapped for a fruit bag with apple and grape slices, salad or cucumber sticks.
Currently, McDonald’s does not sell four separate chicken nuggets on the menu and they are currently only available in a Happy Meal.

The fast food giant only sells six-packs individually, which normally cost around £4.19.
However, this price may depend on the restaurant you purchase them from, as some are owned by different franchisees and have different costs.
A cheeseburger alone usually costs £1.39, the same as a chicken sandwich with mayonnaise.
A medium soft drink costs £1.59, medium crisps cost £1.69 and four Chicken McNuggets cost £2.79 (based on a pro-rata price of six Chicken McNuggets).
Buying these items individually would cost around £7.46, meaning customers who opt for the offer will save £2.46.
However, not everyone is happy with the offering, with some people complaining about some of the finer details.
It is now available in several branches and customers can order it from 11 am, once breakfast is finished.
Not all restaurants run the promotion, so there’s no guarantee you’ll be able to get the food at a discounted price.
Among the options available in the £5 meal deal is a four-pack of chicken nuggets, which are usually only sold in boxes of six.
The McRib will return to McDonald’s menu later this month, about 10 years after being removed from its options.
Diners cannot request the delivery offer; They can only take advantage of the savings if they go to an establishment and in person.
Additionally, some outlets have reported that the order will only be available for a limited period of time.
According the expressThere is another problem that some customers have with the “adult meal deal.”
It cites a couple of social media users who were unhappy with something they felt was missing from the discounted food.
One cheekily wrote: “Adult Happy Meals should come with an adult toy… up your game.”
Meanwhile, another added: “But it’s not a Happy Meal without a toy.”
MailOnline has asked McDonald’s if this deal is permanent or just for a limited time.
Even though the fast food chain disappointed some fans with the finer details of its food offering, the corporation delighted others with another announcement.
He revealed that a formerly popular item will be returning to the menu for a limited time this month.
The popular McRib will make its grand return on October 16, nearly 10 years after it disappeared from the restaurant.
Features a pork burger topped with barbecue sauce, pickles and onions on a soft bun.
The McRib was removed from McDonald’s offering in the UK about a decade ago.
This was despite having a cult following since its debut in 1981.
In recent weeks, McDonald’s had been teasing the return of the much-loved item.
His insinuations have sparked speculation and even frenzy among the sandwich’s biggest fans on social media.
The sandwich will be priced at £4.49 if purchased on its own, without a drink, chips or any other accompaniments.
If purchased as part of a medium value extra meal, it will cost £6.19. This option includes medium fries and a drink.
The McRib’s comeback comes after what McDonald’s has described as years of “fan requests and countless pleas on social media.”
