McDonald’s on Thursday announced the launch of the highly anticipated Chicken Big Mac starting October 10.
The fast food chain said fans in the United States have been requesting the Chicken Big Mac since it first appeared on McDonald’s menus internationally.
The original version of the beef Big Mac will now be available for a limited time, while supplies last. It will cost around $5.50, but will be cheaper in some areas and more expensive in others.
Its arrival in the US, after selling on and off in Europe for years, was first rumored in August.
“With the introduction of the Chicken Big Mac, we are excited to pay tribute to one of our most iconic menu items, the Big Mac, and introduce it to a whole new generation of fans,” Tariq Hassan, head of marketing and customer experience. said a McDonald’s USA official.

The Chicken Big Mac is built like a Big Mac, but with two tempura-battered chicken patties replacing the classic beef patties.

The Chicken Big Mac is the latest new menu item at McDonald’s this year.
In January, the Double Big Mac, which has four beef patties instead of two and extra sauce, returned for a limited time. It costs around $7 and was a hit while it was on sale for a month.
Then in August, the chain announced that an all-new, larger burger called The Big Arch would be coming to the U.S. later this year. He is already in Canada.
It will be the fast food giant’s first permanent new global product since Chicken McNuggets in 1983.

The Big Arch burger has two-thirds of the calories that adults should eat each day, and that’s without fries or a drink.
The new burger has two patties and comes with crispy, sliced fresh onions, three slices of processed white cheese, pickles and lettuce, and a new “spicy” Big Arch sauce.
All of that adds up to 1,030 calories and 66 g of fat, according to the menu listing.
It also emerged that fan-favorite bagels are returning to breakfast menus after four years.
Bagels were first introduced at McDonald’s in late 2019, but were soon removed when bosses simplified the menu in spring 2020 during the pandemic.
