McDonald’s fans who want to get their hands on all six of the fast-food chain’s collectible cups can skip the drive-thru and buy them online — if they’re willing to shell out $100 on eBay.
The restaurant’s limited edition collectible meals come with mugs featuring designs inspired by Barbie, Hot Wheels, Beanie Babies, Coca-Cola, Hello Kitty, Peanuts, Shrek, Jurassic Park, Minions and McDonald’s itself.
Meal prices vary, though the price of a collectible Sausage McMuffin with Egg in the Orlando area was just under $10. Fox 32 reported.
On eBay, sellers have listed collectibles at staggering profit margins. $80 to $100 – with more than one person trying to get it $150 for six cups.
McDonald’s began offering the cups at participating locations on August 13.

Each is based on more than one previous collectible mug, including the Grimace and Pet Lovin’ Barbie mugs that McDonald’s released in 1976 and 1999, respectively.
“There’s an undeniable thrill when you get that elusive McDonald’s collectible or the last piece to complete your collection,” Morgan Flatley, McDonald’s global chief marketing officer and head of new business, said in a press release.
‘These new collectible mugs commemorate some of our most unforgettable designs and global collaborations over the years, allowing long-time fans to relive cherished moments and helping a new generation create their own lasting memories.’
McDonald’s began offering the limited-edition cups at participating locations in more than 30 countries on August 13.
Each mug is based on more than one previous collectible mug, including the Grimace and Pet Lovin’ Barbie mugs that McDonald’s released in 1976 and 1999.
Despite high prices on the resale market, some on social media questioned the quality of the mugs.
A TikTok user known as Miss. b went viral last week after comparing the collectibles with two of his previous mugs.
“How did we go from nice, heavy, etched glass to this? I’m very disappointed,” she said.
More than one commenter chose not to purchase a mug after the review.
“I was excited at first, but then I realized they weren’t like the glasses from our past, so I’m not even going to waste my time looking for them,” the user wrote.
Another person added: “I was just about to go to McDonald’s to get one. This has changed my mind. Thanks, kind stranger on the internet.”
