According Yahoo! Eat this, not this blog, another former employee of the fast-food giant claimed that McDonald’s does indeed use so much sugar.
Nicole Weiser told the outlet: ‘I was a manager at a McDonald’s. I worked there for about three years.
“For every four gallons of (the container of) sweetened tea, there was a bag full of four pounds of sugar emptied into it.”
According to McDonald’s website, a large sweetened iced tea contains 40 grams of sugars.
However, according to the employees, there is still more sugar than indicated.

If you follow the nutritional information on the McDonald’s website, a large contains only 10 grams less than the total recommended amount of sugars.
