McDonald’s Australia has quietly launched a new menu item that has delighted foodies across the country.
The future favorite is a portion of crinkle-cut fries, a delicious portion of crinkle-cut goodness that is described as a thinner version of potato wedges.
The menu item is popular in Europe, but has just arrived in Australian venues. The full list of restaurants where they are located has not yet been published.

“I was so excited to see it on the menu and ordered large crinkle-cut fries,” she said.
“The fries tasted great, but I don’t think I loved them.”
Other foodies have reported seeing the dish in various locations including Peachtree, St Ives, Northmead and Mount Colah.
Australian McDonald’s has long been revered by foreigners; one British foodie even admitted that the all-day breakfast menu was a “game changer”.

Thousands of people are excited to try hot fries, which are popular in France.
‘Are these in Victoria? I love you so much!’ one said.
‘Why are these only in Penrith? They’re nowhere else,” a second complained.
“Now I always buy these instead of normal fries,” said one French customer. “They are so addictive.”
One home cook shared that she has started making them at home with a crinkle potato cutter and a deep fryer until the dish reaches more stores.
